UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS for <4.0 to 4.0 1) - Uninstall, play, save, update to new version. Huge changes so fallrim clean it if you can to remove evidence of the old mod 2) - Rename your first saved profile: - In DATA > SKSE > Plugins > FarmingDarkness - Rename DontRollInThatConfig to DontRollInThatConfig_1 - Not backwards compatible! - Use BEES with older Skyrim versions
Update Issues - If after updating the mod isn't working: uninstall in completely and make sure there's no Don'tRollInThat.esp or Don'tRollInThat_DISTR files in your data folder (i.e. remove the mod completely). Play, save, clean with fallrim. Redownload & reinstall. Move to a different location you haven't been in to test. The cell you're in / were just in may not behave correctly because it's already loaded.
OTHER NOTES: Prevent Naked Corpses - Read the "Prevent Naked Corpses" section on the page description to learn about that. I fought with it for hours and almost took the feature out. I'll leave 2.7.1 available for people that prefer the old way the system worked. Essentially there's nothing I can do to completely prevent the replacer armor from flickering or being completely removed sometimes. I can tell it, "if this item is what you find, don't f&*^en remove it", and it will anyway because it doesn't think it found it. No idea. It happens during the peripheral armor checks, so turn that off if you don't like what you see.
I keep playing your mod and noticed that every time a character dies that is fully equipped my game freezes for like a second
Any way to fix this? I tried messing around with the MCM and no difference.. I really don't want to get rid of this mod, but also can't play with lags during combat on permadeath playthrough:/
Any way to increase the amount of material it drops in standard mode? I have everything set to be destroyed 100% of the time and always drop materials. I just want to craft my gear this way without having to rely heavily on mining.
I tried digging in with SSEdit but couldn't figure it out
Really liking the mod so far though, its a perfect fit for my hardcore setup Thank you man!
P.S. Also all of the dead bodies spawn with full gear, I have these settings in MCM: Place dead type: Chance(100%); Prevent naked placed: Yes Could I fix this somehow?
How do I have to configure the MCM if I just want to be always unable to loot helmets, armors, gauntlets and boots in corpses but be able to loot the rest (yewelery, weapons, circlets, coins, etc)?
It's not working at all for me! I have everything set to almost 100% chance of it being removed and nothing is removed. I'm se 6.1130. Loot says I have AE edition. I chose the SE version 5.9whatever because the other option was 6.higher than my version.
Can someone tell me what to do to get this to work? I want this BAD.
Also, I'm on MO2. I am not upgrading, this is the first time. Also, I ran quite far to make sure I was in new cells and even went interior and it's not working.
My gut feeling is that your spid isn't distributing the script. Check your logs. Another thing to test is start a new game and see if that resolves it.
Are you being fresh with me?! My what? Seriously though, what? lol
I'm wondering if it might be a conflict with Loot and Degradation? I've had some issues with mods lately and I had Papyrus Utility uninstalled. I got that reinstalled and I removed L&D. It's still not working right. This looks amazing. I am dying to use it with Morrowloot.
Update: I also removed Dead Body Cleaner and started a new game in Markarth. Weylin died and got instantly looted, so that is improvement. I reloaded and went through it again and he had some items. I resurrected and let him go through it again and he had some items. I set removal of everything to 100%. All weapons, armors, lockpicks, gold, potions, etc. Then, I command killed the guards and the chest piece was removed but they had everything else lootable.
I hope you can help me figure this out. This mod looks like a top essential for me.
Thanks for the response. I knew what you meant, I was just trying to make you laugh. I do have SPID. The mod is working but sporadically. I tried it without the other mods and it was removing some items. I have it all set to almost 100% but I still get weapons and armor on almost every corpse. I'll try Diablo. This is exactly what I want in my game. I'm so glad someone made a mod like this. It's perfect for beggar builds and lowlifes.
It's working FANTASTICALLY better! Thank you so much for all your help. Removing Dead Body Remover seems to have helped. Diablo mode makes it run nearly 100%. The only problems I have with things not being looted is modded creatures. If there is a setting that will allow me to remove the clothes/armor so the chest is bare, please let me know. I'm a Bosmer, worshipper of Namira and that would be helpful.
I appreciate you SO MUCH for helping me troubleshoot this awesome mod. Totally ENDORSED, as I hope everyone takes the time to do!
I love this mod. Its pretty much what im looking for for so long.. I have a problem tho.. i use knapsack option, but it seems its prevent me from retrieveng CC armors. I tried out item drop instead, but its prone to crash.
Unless your CC armor ignores all the properties of the skyrim armor system, there's nothing about it (from my end) that would cause it to be treated differently.
I have a recurring problem in Standard mode where NPCs spawn without their equipment. If I bring down the chance to zero, the issue is not present anymore. However, at that point, the mod is basically turned off...
Loving 4.0, but I'm having a small issue with it on a new save right now.
I'm using standard mode chance-based drop rates, with both weapons and armor set to be destroyed 95% of the time. I have every equipment slot checked, and it's working great for the most part, except that it seems like it isn't affecting weapons at all. Every other piece of gear seems to be destroyed most of the time as it should, but weapons, whether it be melee, bows, or arrows, all seem to drop 100% of the time no matter what chance I set it to. For reference, I'm on 1.5.97 and using BEES. I have DRIT at pretty much the bottom of my load order, below any other weapon or armor mods.
Everything seems to work fine in Diablo mode, so it's not like it's a huge issue since I can just use that. I'm just not sure if this is a mod conflict, user error on my end, or an actual issue with standard mode, so I figured I'd mention it here in case anyone has any advice and/or to let you know about the issue. Other than this small issue, 4.0 has been great! It's got every feature I could have wanted from this mod and then some.
So I was doing some more testing with this today, and I think I've figured out exactly why I'm still having weapons drop consistently even at 90 or 100 percent chance to be destroyed in standard mode, but not in Diablo mode! It has to do with a setting that Diablo mode has that standard mode does not, that being the "Chance to drop unequipped items also in inventory" setting. I noticed the issue was occurring mainly with characters such as guards or imperial/stormcloak soldiers, and I believe this is because almost all of these characters carry multiple weapons, usually a sword/shield, bow/arrows, and a dagger. Since they can only have one of these weapon combinations equipped at a time, only the equipped weapons are being affected by DRIT in standard mode, and the other weapons that are unequipped in their inventory always drop, regardless of my DRIT percentages. Whereas with Diablo mode, there is the setting that affects the chance for unequipped items in the inventory to drop, so if I set that to say 10%, those unequipped weapons all roll with DRIT as well, and usually won't drop.
I tested this specifically today, and it does seem to be the case. So I guess my question now is, is there a setting for standard mode that I missed that will affect unequipped gear drop chances? I didn't see one, but I could be wrong. And if not, is there a possibility to add that option to standard mode as well in a future update, since it's already a functionality in Diablo mode? That would solve the only remaining issue I'm having with standard mode. If you don't want to or don't have the time, that's 100% ok and up to you, but I at least can go forward understanding why this is happening and knowing how to work around it using Diablo mode.
Tried the 4.0 and working flawlessly. The Diablo was brutal upon new game with survival + harder game overall, I love it! One question, does the weapon model drop regardless of whether it can be looted or not? I think there is a console command to disable dropped equipment, and I wonder if I can enable them both without issue. As the weapon model is still dropping like normal currently, even though I can't loot them.
Gotcha, I'll try the console command with this mod in that case. Just a preference of mine to not see the item if it's not lootable. Thanks again for the mod!
Could I say good criticism? :) I think this mod needs to be simplified. for example no need for mcm
The player should be prevented from pressing the e key so that he cannot loot. weapon and shield should fall to the ground diablo style. Jewelery or note style items should be kept next to the corpse as a knapsack. We should not take any armor from the corpse. Because logically they are all damaged and bloody. I'm using Sos Light and guards always naked when they dead :( Jewelery note style items should be kept next to the corpse as a knapsack.
Everyone views how it should happen differently, so theres an MCM so everyone can adjust it as they wish. Recall that this mod has been out for 4 years and has received a lot of feedback, requests, and playtesting. At least half of the users wouldn't use it with your proposed scenario. If you're guards are naked, use the prevent naked corpse option (in the MCM).

Resurrecting may not be a good way of testing, I don’t know if the effect will run again.
L&D won’t conflict, but that other mod might.
try Diablo mode for better debugging. If items drop to the ground or get placed in a new knapsack, it’s working.
