Download both "CK64Fixes Release 3.2" and "FaceFXWrapper 0.4".
Put the contents of "CK64Fixes Release 3.2" into the base directory (the one that has the CK in it). Put the contents of "FaceFXWrapper 0.4" ( tools/audio/FaceFXWrapper.exe ) into the data directory. The final path should be Basedirectory/Data/tools/audio/FaceFxWrapper.exe for the file .exe in the zip.
Put the contents of it ( Processing/FonixData.cdx ) into Basedirectory/Data/Sound/Voice. The final path should be Basedirectory/Data/Sound/Voice/Processing/FonixData.cdx
3. Chances are you did the above already, now the .wav file itself is the most likely issue. Do the following:
Your .wav file must be saved at "44100 khz" for CK to recognize it for *lip sync.
Your .wav file must be saved as mono, a.k.a single channel audio; (*It is likely defaulted to stereo a.k.a. multi channel audio. CK cant generate .lip from stereo)
Your .wav file must be saved at "16 bit PCM" for CK to recognize it for *lip sync
This is where you get messed up, CK/Skyrim can play the audio from the file if you don't do the above, but can't generate lip files cause the encoding is different than the .lip files that are already encoded in the game at 44100 khz, Mono, 16 bit PCM. It breaks the lip file generation but leaves the audio working. So it seems like your .wav file is fine when it's the problem.
Recommend Audacity for sound file editing. It's free, the download is safe. Google or Reddit it if you want to look it over. If you want a fast guide to skip to what you need for voices/sync read below.
*** Recommend you look at Joseph Russell, the creator of Lucien Flavius, his videos on how to make a voiced follower like Lucien. He goes into detail on recording your own voices, inserting your standalone audio clips, and using Audacity, and is just extremely useful as a resource.
I'm getting an "error 0xc0000005" that just crashes the CK on any attempt to generate audio from a dialogue line It's not even the lip sync, it just refuses to generate audio. If I remove this file, the crash doesnt happen, but i'm still unable to generate lip files. Not even sure if it's really related to this file, but just thought to say it in case anyone knows a solution.
OK, I got a fix. The reason for this fatal error is the misplacement of the FaceFXWrapper 0.4 files. People who gather in this thread are all good guys who follow the post above strictly. But there is an error or ambiguousness on the post " Put the contents of "FaceFXWrapper 0.4" ( tools/audio/FaceFXWrapper.exe ) into the data directory." If you take a look at the README file when in the download files of FaceFXWrapper, you can see that the correct directory should be GAMEDIR/Tools/Audio where there should have been a file called "xwmaencode.exe", instead of under the Data folder. I think the word "data" in that line is ambiguous. ------JUST EXTRACT THE FaceFXWrapper.exe there (GAMEDIR/Tools/Audio) and it should work. If you strictly follow the instructions above by chobarthrade.
Trying to generate a LIP for a custom version of Ragar the Red by Malukah in WAV format. It creates the LIP from the WAV but it doesn't match... I even tried creating the FUZ using the WAV and LIP.
I did try silencing the starting instrumentals of the wav before generating the LIP without altering the length of the file so it would just be silent until she starts speaking but that didn't help at all. the NPCs mouth starts to move well before the song even starts.
I sadly still can't get the LIP generation to work, eventhough I have all the fixes and saved the file in the correct format (44100 hz, 16 bit PCM, wav). It generates a temp.lip file, but even the Creation Kit shows "N" under "lip" inside my response. Anyone have any more tips?
I managed to fix it in a way, that could become repetitive over time, but whenever you select the voice you want to sync, and press the generate lip button, It generates the temp.lip in the processing folder as it happened to you. Just Copy paste it to your customfollower.esp folder and rename it to the voice you want it for. I hope it was helpful.
so....as someone who is an idiot, and tried to follow the steps, my files aren't in these locations. My Voice and Sound files are both in the date file. Could arranging them as such interfere with their functionality...?
For those that cannot get lip syncing to work at all for CK 2.0 64 bit from steam.
I installed the creation kit for Skyrim LE aka just Skyrim in steam folder. Then recreated the dialog, copied the voice file to the LE folder, renamed it to whatever Creation Kit LE is looking for, and generated the lip files from that. Then I copy pasted the lip files From LE to relevant folder in SE, and renamed them to match the corresponding voice files in SE.
I installed everything like the guide said even watched like 50 youtube videos and the generate lip file still isnt working, the audio is working in the creationclub but the lip doesnt work???? ive tried everything.
Thanks for the file, maybe you can share some wisdom-
I just can't generate the .lip file for the life of me (SE, MO2). Have fonixdata, facefxwrapper, and everything placed, as well as the Fixes uploaded as a mod on nexus. I've tried both placing these tools in the overwrite section where it would normally be and also in the actual directory, but no luck. It will pretend to generate, button available etc, but no file appears
All the tutorials suggest: record blank audio, switch it out with the actual audio with the same name, whether with wav or xwm or both, then generate lip. Have also tried just dragging it in but then it doesn't even see the wav (generate button is grey). Another modder says this is not an MO2 problem as he uses it and it works fine. But it just won't generate a .lip
make sure the files are Mono, 14.1 kHz. The 14.1 kHz may not be essential, but I know it's like vanilla and never causes a problem. The mono part is essential. CK can't generate lip files for a stereo track.
True - I actually got this to work by moving those two tools around, and they eventually ended up in 'Tools' in the main Skyrim directory, not anywhere related to MO2 or the CK. It was my misunderstanding of how those things were accessed

1. Download SSE CreationKit Fixes
2. Download SSE Creation Kit Fonixdata Lip Sync Fix
Put the contents of it ( Processing/FonixData.cdx ) into Basedirectory/Data/Sound/Voice.
The final path should be Basedirectory/Data/Sound/Voice/Processing/FonixData.cdx

It's not even the lip sync, it just refuses to generate audio.
