I take sun damage even though I've reinstalled the mod and chosen the options not to. Can't find a way to get rid of the damage, the result is the same with every option for the mod.
The spell has probably already been given to the player and reinstalling does nothing since it's already in your save. You could delete it with console commands but I don't remember the name of the spell, so you have to look it up in xEdit.
Excellent mod! I was trying to get "Sacrilege" to play a bit more like V Rising, with the ability to seek shelter and recover in shadows while taking punishment from sunlight exposure. This mod, combined with "Sacrilege - Vampires can now Regenerate in sunlight" covered the bases pretty nicely.
I only ran into one problem: I don't seem to take sunlight damage in Vampire Lord form. I have a few mods that affect the Vampire Lord fairly dramatically, so I'm not sure if it's an oversight with this mod or a conflict with one of the others, but I thought I'd mention it. All things considered, it's a fairly small issue, and not really worth fiddling around with my mod list to figure out exactly what the source is at the moment.
Oh, is there a way I can reconfigure it to be a little more punishing? It's good, but I think I might like to double the existing damage...
Thanks for the mod!
EDIT: I did some tinkering in the Creation Kit and made a couple edits to increase the damage to PC and NPCs both. I REALLY like this mod!
Journeyman - A Fast Travel Overhaul requires you to carry travel packs which are consumed when you fast travel. To have these prepared, I need to sacrifice some resources, time and carry weight, so fast traveling becomes a little luxury I can treat myself with every now and then. But most of all it does wonders for me in terms of immersion as I have to plan ahead and make a route.
In a similar way I'd love the idea to be able to become temporarily immune to the effects of the sun for a day, for role playing reasons. Maybe by consuming the vanilla item Potion of Blood or by feeding, while being a stage 1 vampire. This way there would be some tradeoffs as modded and unmodded vampires lose some of their strength in the lowest stage of vampirism. It would also provide an explainable reason for the existence of vampires who are living together with humans.
For now I'll try to go with the hood, but since I'm a playing as a summoner I wear the thing all the time anyway so sadly there isn't no real tradeoff.
Is there a way to make NPCs react to you burning on fire in front of them? I love this mod but if I'm a walking inferno then that ought to clue witnesses in that I am a child of the night.
How do you categorize a shadow as safe space for a vampire? Real actual shadows like the one casted by a big tree or next to a house by the sun, or just below a structure like under a roof?
Also, wearing full armor makes you inmune to sun damage? Taking Serana as example, we can see her putting on and taking off her hood whenever she steps in and out of the sun (interiors/exteriors). So I believe a vampire fully dressed with clothes/armor, boots, gloves/gauntlets and closed helmet/hood would be inmune to sun damage as he isn't directly being touched by the sun, at least in lower levels of vampirism.
Any way you can make the hooded add-on work with the Hooded Robes outfits? They don't have the Head Keywords even though they do cover the head. Like sure WACCF separates the hoods from the robes but I don't wanna get WACCF just to gave the Necromancer Robes and Hood combo remove my sun damage.

Good mod idea by the way. ^^
