Let's keep the comments civil, shall we? If this mod isn't to your liking, do us all a favor and move on down the road. The default game NPC designs IMO are lazy and ugly. Why they didn't overhaul all of them to current game standards for a "Special Edition" is just mind boggling to me. These kids were designed specifically to go with appearance overhauls that address this unfortunate oversight. They will NOT fit in with default game characters and were never designed to. There are several much better options available if that is how you run the game. The people who use this mod know all this, and your contrary opinions are not necessary or wanted here. You just look like an entitled moron, which, thanks to social media, is a way too prevalent species. So go start a separate forum to do your rants, and take all your entitled friends with you.
For those that had the beta installed, you can replace it with this one. No changes to the esp or other structural stuff. I just tweaked a few kids meshes. Since it's an esl, make sure you keep the plugin in the same spot in your load order.
Almost any potential issues, with solutions, are addressed in the mod description page. I'm not going to respond to those that post about issues discussed there. If you see something that isn't addressed, make a comment or pm.
Additional patches are in the works (see the progress list in the last sticky post), but feel free to make and upload your own. Let me know what you have, and I'll promote it. The "bad" kids will return in a separate esl plugin called "Wild Child". The toddlers will be in a totally separate mod, not dependent on TKAA, so people that don't use this mod can still add rugrats to the game.
PLEASE DON'T FEED THE TROLLS. The comments just get cluttered up, which draws even more in. There are a LOT of lousy people on the net, let's not give them a forum. I've learned over the years that if you ignore them they move on to the next mod. I'll remove, report and block them if they get really nasty.
Thanks so much for all the kind words in this section. Also to those that have supported me and my mods over the years, you know who I'm talking about. And finally, a very special thank you and love to all those that took the time to endorse and/or vote. You're just the best!

AI Overhaul Patch is here Dragons Keep patch for Renewal is on that mod's page. Adopt Aventus Arentino Renewal patch is on that mod's page. Prince and The Pauper patch is here. Fertility Mode/Be(e)ing Female - someone else can handle that stuff. TPOS2 - the only kids added that I could find are dead, not going to bother.
If it's not in Patch Pack 1 or listed here, please comment below. If you have made a patch, let me know about it and I will promote it here.
I've added a beta patch for ETaC v 0.7 (Complete) for testing. Can someone please checkout all 10 kids and report back? And a couple of notes - I don't include any facegen tint textures in this one, because the new patch plugin is pointing to, and will use, the ones included in the base mod. And some of the kids may have neck seams if you add this mid-game, as I reset all weights to 0. Won't happen on a new game start.
Elf girl stays laying down on a bedroll even after telling me she “has to gather her things and say goodbye”. Waited days in-game and nothing happens. 🥺
Go back to an earlier save and try again. Not a hard requirement, but it helps to install the unofficial patch. This is Skyrim, and it's loaded with poor coding and bugs.
To be fair to the author, I wasn't exactly constructive with my criticism. I stand by what I said though. The kids look like porcelain dolls. Vanilla textures and models are on the ugly side, but they actually pull off the natural look better than damn near every NPC replacer out there. I think replacing the hair with a vanilla friendly version would help tremendously.
What I have trouble with is people that read this CLEARLY WRITTEN statement "Let's keep the comments civil, shall we? If this mod isn't to your liking, do us all a favor and move on down the road. The default game NPC designs IMO are lazy and ugly. Why they didn't overhaul all of them to current game standards for a "Special Edition" is just mind boggling to me. And STILL make their moronic, insulting, entitled comments. And then, when called out for it, decide to double down. Okay then.
I'm sorry, but I just don't have time for stupid. I'm too busy actually contributing something to Nexus and the mod community. The comments are now LOCKED.
Any momentary quick option with CK to patch mods that don't cover this mod? I use the cities of Schlitzohr and other mods that add npc children and are incompatible with this mod, i get deformed vanilla kids with purple faces/bodies what to do?
Use SSE Edit, instead. Less to load, quick and easy format. There's 17 separate mods under "cities of Schlitzohr", or I would investigate myself. I downloaded Neugrad and saw no conflict with TKAA in NPC records.
In SSE Edit you can find the tree view, left pane, for NPCs in each of the city mods, compare conflicts with TKAA in the right pane. If there is a record that both have touched, then there is conflict. You can decide there whether a patch can resolve the conflict. Simply right click on the record in the left pane, find "copy as an override" while in the tree view for TKAA into a new esp, then if necessary drag and drop record edits from the city mod into the patch, using the right pane of SSE Edit.
I did not express myself well, the children vanila if they are well; My problem is with children added by anothers mods
Edit: Although I already discovered that the best option is to copy the facegens and copy the head/race statistics to the new mod so I duplicate the same npc and it's better than nothing; thanks for the mod it is much better than others
Sorry if i'm being a dumbass but for some reason the vanilla kids (females are showing with adult faces) been trying to google around for a fix but all i'm finding is that i should move the mod to the bottom of my load order. Does that mean i need to set it to load after the all patches on vortex's plugin page or do i somehow drag it to the bottom of my loot order?
Its not you, im having the same problem, ive tried moving it to the bottom of the load order, turned off other mods, to check for conflict, looked at the archive with nif scope, no adult heads in there, so i did the taboo thing and opened it in the creation kit and bingo! thats the problem, the game for some reason is defaulting them to the adult heads, i havent found a solution for it yet unfortunately and i love this mod on xbox
for me both boys and girls are adult faced monsters XD.....the boys look like they had plastic surgery and the girls look like a generic npc.....my fix for it is to avoid them so i dont think about the mini demons that walk the world of skyrim
Hi, I've been using your wonderful mod for years. Even in Oldrim. I've tried many alternatives, but tbh none of them are as good as yours, so this is normally my first choice to "remove the children's potato heads", when I start a fresh playthrough.
I have a question though. I'm starting a new 2023 playthrough and I'm looking for maximum immersion and lore. With that in mind, is there any way I can use the default hairstyles with your mod. I know the hair in your mod is fabulous of course, but this time around I want my kids to look a bit scruffy. If default hair isn't possible, do you know of a hair mod that will work with yours, that makes the kids look a bit more like street urchins?
BTW thanks for all your hard work over the years. Who would have thought that the modding community would still be totally relevant 10 years on. It's what keeps me coming back for more,,,
The hair is baked into the facegen meshes and aren't easily changeable. It's not a matter of re-generating the heads using the CK - in fact this will have an extraordinarily bad result. These kids are all hand made facial morphs, and the hair is also custom fitted to the new heads. You really need to move on to something else if you want the kids to have default hair. There are many other different options if that is the look you want. These kids are meant to look the way they look.
Hey guys, is it just me or you also have the following problem :
When I adopt two kids everything works fine, but at the moment I adopt a third one, one of them, randomly, starts having issues such as "being enable to sleep on a bed they could until that moment" ?
Know how to solve this (disable / enable already tested with no success)
This mod is a simple child appearance and has nothing to do with all the thousands of issues this game has. All I can say is make sure you have USSEP installed, and if you use multi-adoption mods, follow their directions for use. Any such issues have NOTHING to do with TKAA
Dark face ETaC child NPCs are Else, Rhina, Jesper, Adrian.
ETaC child NPCs Bertran, Ulla, Valgeir, Myrun, Sabir, and Hisham all have TKAA faces and hair.

There are no other mods, no texture mods, nothing else. In the ETaC FOMOD, I chose none of the patches ... no texture patches, no lighting patches, nothing.
I started as a patron at Moorside Inn in Morthal, went outside, saw dark faced Else immediately. Then using console moveto all of the other 10 ETaC child NPCs to my location, and 4 of them ... Else, Rhina, Jesper, and Adrian had dark faces. Everyone else had the beautiful TKAA faces and hair.
In your sticky, you asked if someone could test ETaC v0.7 - TKAA Patch; I hope this helps. Thank you.
Yeah, I have way too many other projects, including a remake of TKAA, that were being held up by patches for this one, but I'll slog through them at some point.
Would be nice to have both the old and new version available. I mainly liked the new kids for NPCs and new scenes with them alongside extra features, rather than a change in look (and also don't like some of the new changes such as different skin for boys and girls, in reality any possibly noticeable change in skin appearance and texture happens with puberty, so it's not really immersive).
They are two completely different mods with the same name. Patches for the old one and the new one are not compatible. I can't keep up with patch requests for one version, let alone two. I think some of the texture artists may have made alternate textures for this mod which may be more to your liking. I haven't seen them myself, so I don't know who what or where.

Yep. In my case, I looked through and realized I had loose files left over from RS children, Which I don't recall installing. My mistake.
