i think it would be better if there was a Hotkey to Press to view all of the corpses
instead of opening the MCM menu

I absolutely ADORE this mod! You can even bury the prisoners in hanging cages - just brilliant. It just didn't sit right with me leaving bodies behind to rot in the elements or in dungeons. Thank you for making this!

I LOVED the "Grave digger" mod in FO4, too bad this requires SKS unlike that mod

This dude linked an article from 2013 made by the most incompetent and tech-fearing of users to explain why he does not use SKSE.

SKSE is literally just drag and drop into your Skyrim folder and click the .exe to start.

(Boy Golly, I love it when fanatics get triggered by any criticism toward a mod/modding program like i have somehow offended them personally. Its just a video game, not a religion people)

THIS DUDE used F4SE for a year with fallout 4 (the skse64 of fallout 4, same people made it, program almost identical) and will never use it again. My game became increasingly unplayable til an over 1000 hour save was junk. Just google "skse problems" or check reddit or Nexus Forums and you will get hundreds of pages of results of people having problems with it. There is a whole community who refuse to use it and mod authors have starting making mods that are "SKSE FREE" incase you haven't been keeping up with the times. It seems to me that the problem is the longer its baked into a save the worse it gets. I dont know. but at the end of the day i am not using it, my choice. Have a great day and thank you for supporting the Nexus website.

Because this looks exactly like the same baseless superstition that happens in this community over and over that get proven wrong time and time again, like "mods with lots of scripts are bad," "the engine can't handle too many mods," "Form 43 is always a problem for SSE," and etc.

All of the links I've clicked there are recognizably user error or SKSE apparently failing to start to begin with, likely due to lacking the proper dependencies, and none of them are about save corruption as you are talking about. If you're trying to make a point, find one compelling thread documenting this issue.

If there is a new trend of avoiding SKSE, I've never heard of it and I'm pretty active in the community. Name one prominent author that is actively avoiding SKSE for reasons other than console compatibility.

lol.......... just use F4SE/SKSE. There is no reason not to use it. Like the above user said, most of those problems are probably due to user error. With modding, that tends to happen... surprise surprise. Especially when scripts are involved. Blame the weak bricks, not the strong foundation.

Thank you for the grave digger recommendation though! No idea that existed. Shame on me for not looking for it.

Welp. The only comment I'll make is that you're locking yourself out of substantial mods that make others play experience factually superior to yours.

Good grief "Dude" if you don't like how someone's mod works, then best to just hold you tongue and move on, or maybe, just maybe, make a polite request asking if an adjustment or patch is something the author might be willing to consider.

did you read the initial comment? are you kidding me? this is ridiculous. "too bad this requires sks" is too much for half the mod community to handle without their brains exploding?? Its not like the MOD AUTHOR had an issue with my comment NO, a bunch of SKSE zealots popped up, like i cant have an opinion. Or should minority opinions be oppressed now? MOVE ON! (and please consider supporting nexus. Thank you.)

In the IT industry we have a name for the causes of such issues like yours with SKSE - PEBKAC.

Also, a factually wrong statement is not an "opinion". Vaccines don't cause autism, Earth isn't flat, SKSE doesn't break the game.

I prefer POBCAK myself, and even though i dont agree with anti-vaxers it IS their right to believe whatever they want and i thank god i live in a country that tries very hard to protect that right. Science doesnt support religion either, do you wanna start that argument here as well? Its just a game.
Thank you wSkeever i will endorse and kudos. This should not be happening here and i am sorry it did simply from a single sentence. Sheesh!
I am glad so many of you are modders, even if you disagree with me, i love and admire what you do. I will no longer be commenting on this thread.

Hmm, it's really weird that the mod author would make a standard Soviet service rifle as a mod requirement but I guess I've heard of stranger things.

From a developer standpoint SKSE just uses a mixture of script and papyrus to allow the engine....(The very same outdated engine Bethesda has been using since god practically walked the earth) To read and support new plugin module commands it literally does nothing else, I have taken it apart and looked at it extensively and it's symbiotic with the engine itself. I would say most of the bugs that come when using it are origin based in the decrepit engine Bethesda uses, Form 43 issue for example actually resides in the shoddy hard coding in the engine itself. The engine powers the vehicle like a car, the script extender is like a computer in the vehicle telling the engine how and when to ignite its cylinders at time intervals to create the effect of motion. Compared to old versions like OBSE which is rough around the edges the SKSEX64 is stable. Because when Bethesda updated their ancient engine to include 64 bit architecture in a 64 bit era it plays nicer with modern computers....plus a million other technobabble reasons as well. Corruption from bloated and baked saves come from people modding and making the script extender overworked. It's faulty modding that is written wrong from people with very little script and papyrus skills usually. Just like some mods can use ITM references but overall shouldn't because the engine itself is very finicky about these references. It goes back to whomever is publishing their mods without extensive testing, and not just on their own system. This is why game developers and programmers usually need beta testers as I think all mods should be beta before released as a final....when it comes to using any script or engine changing behavior.

@TheRealGeneral: I mean, I'm not hating on this mod or its execution, or SKSE, but I'm in VR so this shovel mod won't work for me.  Also, I often play a paladin style character or put lots of points in restoration, or light side of the force or whatever tf you wanna call it and I'm so glad you linked that  Arkay's cremation mod, ty.

Is there a mod I can use as a companion to this that will let me brutally murder and dismember NPCs?

This mod is a lifesaver. I've had assassins coming after me in my player home, and couldn't get rid of the bodies. Now I added a shovel to my favorites and it's just easy to remove them.

This sounds like installation error. If mod doesn't work when installed correctly, it shouldn't work for other people either.

i'll give this mod one more reinstall effort. this is how i normally download and install mods (usually works every time.)
      from the top.

      1. check all requirements, yes i have those 3
      2. download and install in mod manager,
      3. i typed help shovel, there was 2 available shovels, i added them both to my inventory
      4. i went to a dead thrall, deanimated him, he fell over.. now hes a dead body.
      5. i stood over the corpse clicked both shovels in my inventory for use -- did nothing..
      6. i tried to just target him then press shift, maybe your mod is using a dynamic activation key, thats not working.
      7. i crouched, i clicked, that did nothing. if i recall correctly you had a mod that you have to crouch to interact with the corpse. that was not the case.
      8. i read the mod description thoroughly. i read your FAQ - there was no specific instructions on how to activate the shovel in the game.
      9. i searched the MCM menu for clues. nothing relevant. only a single timer. i can't even get the shovel to work..
      10. i left a youtube comment a month ago regarding this. i never got a reply.
      11. i watched the video for clues on how to bury the corpse. you simply faced the corpse and accessed your inventory and clicked the shovel (i think thats what you did) - that did not work for me. my character auto-turns around every time i access the inventory due to this mod here. Show Player in Menus .
      12. i uninstalled Show Player in Menus. I faced the corpse - clicked the shovel then it worked...

i think that you should be more explicitly explanatory about how the shovel is activated. you should say..
      1. get a shovel
      2. click the shovel in your inventory while you are facing the corpse.
      3. then proceed to say, if you use a mod that makes you auto-change direction, or your not facing the corpse correctly and exactly it Will Not Work.

the case is solved. your mod is not broken, it works. but its not well explained.

now i have to choose which mod to bury.. this one.. or Show Player in Menus.. that's the question..

This is the first time I've even heard of "show player in menus". I can't be expected to know about every single mod for this game. There are literally 60,000.

Mod works great. Simple and clean. :D

For those that might need it, there's a mod that allows you to add Misc items like Shovels to Favorites: Favorite Misc Items. It's pretty handy for if you actually do need to use the shovel often enough or just have a really messy Misc items bag like I do.

This is great for those messy mods that don't clean up after themselves, leave bodies all over. Now I need a bound shovel lol
