How about fall damage? there are some bugs like flying npcs to the air or flying horse when player load a save on horse. i see them even with many bug fixes. so that can avoid there death at least.
Awww I like getting Draugr to smash themselves with that swinging gate trap in Bleak Falls... even funnier if Arvel runs over it - smug little bastard. :D
I think you can just open the .ini file and delete the two lines that add the perk to the Dwarven and Creature types. then the perk should only be distributed to NPCs. However I think it would be much harder to only set it to followers.
I see all the SPID mods with people asking for a version with this or that change and I'm wondering how difficult it can be to just edit the .ini yourself.
At first I thought this would make traps useless, but I think they will still have utility if the player sets them off. (I agree with others that editing the file so less intelligent things still do is ideal). It's also very logical- the AI *should* path NPCs around traps they set themselves, it's just not that good. Which leads to really dumb situations like elite Morag Tong assassins killing themselves...
A good companion mod to use with this might be "Better Telekinesis" which would make it easier for the player to set off traps on the NPCs themselves, either with distance activation or dropping an object on a trigger. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42906 So you still get to feel clever by using traps, but it's you doing it not terrible AI.
Cool! Does anyone know of a mod that only stops followers from triggering traps but still allows other NPCs (or hostile ones, specifically) to trigger them?
You need to write your own MySettings_DISTR.ini with these entries:
PlayerAllyFaction (I assume most temp followers during quests in dungeons) Perk = 0x5820C~Skyrim.esm|NONE|0x5A1A4~Skyrim.esm PlayerFollowerFaction (I think these would also be set by most mods, but probably you'll have to look it up Perk = 0x5820C~Skyrim.esm|NONE|0x84D1B~Skyrim.esm PlayerHousecarlFaction (default follower like Lydia) Perk = 0x5820C~Skyrim.esm|NONE|0xA2C8D~Skyrim.esm and PotentialFollowerFaction(together with PlayerAllyFaction these should be all temp follower) Perk = 0x5820C~Skyrim.esm|NONE|0x5C84D~Skyrim.esm
These 4 entries should work (and are not bound by name)
Hey, nice mod, I'll install it next time I modify my load order
Just a bit of advice: if you declared your mod as requiring SPID in the requirements section, then your mod would appear on the SPID page in the "mods using SPID" list. This list allows modders to choose mods using SPID, and most of all for me, to replace the mods doing similar things with scripts, so as to improve skyrim performance
Yeah, i agree with them not affecting npc's at all as most enemies are too dumb anyway. Making them become completely immune in some aspect is better than nothing imo.
Like, how you gon set a trap and forgot to put it there? Are you suicidal?

Can you make a version that only affects humanoid NPCs? Attracting Draugr and other monsters to traps is part of the fun of exploring dungeons.
Perk = 0x5820C - Skyrim.esm | ActorTypeNPC
Perk = 0x5820C - Skyrim.esm | ActorTypeDwarven <--- Delete
Perk = 0x5820C - Skyrim.esm | ActorTypeCreature <--- Delete
ActorTypeNPC only affects the 10 vanilla races, vampires and daedra.

That being said, I won't forget this mod, I really put it in a list of mods that I keep for my nest playthrough
