"Mage Armor" in the title refers to

    -Oakflesh
    -Stoneflesh
    -Ironflesh
    -Ebonyflesh
    -Dragonhide

    Not the perk.

Letting others know that this fix is included in Unofficial Skyrim Modder's Patch. Thanks 123hamster.

      2580 mods 886 pluguins hahah

I'm not going to install the mod, because I haven't had a problem with the spell yet, but it seems to be a good mod.

That's not how that works. It's not a thing related to spells, it's related to how it can lag your game and kill your fps.

Is this patch incorporated in unofficial Skyrim special edition patch? Or is it associated in anything like scrambled bugs?

This mod changes "MagicPlayEffectShaderOnHitScript", and shouldn't affect mods that changes graphic files.

If however your mod manager shows a conflict, then it's probably incompatible.

I honestly like the effect that plays out continuously when hit.

But I prefer more FPS than anything.

Thank you! I had CTD in fights sometimes ... I reduced the amount of combat-related mods (like effects) but it didn't do much. I wouldn't even think that the reason could be the magic shields that I like to use.

As a mage and someone who fights a lot of mages, this helps so friggin' much. Thank you.

excellent mod, thank you!.  I usually have 5-6 followers at a time, and when several of them have oakflesh or stoneflsh and get hit with a fireball or something, things would go to hell.  i have a beefy rig so i only got CTD very rarely in extreme instances, but still, anything helps.
