This has intrigued me. most i've done was move sneak to left CTRL. i'm curious to what mods you use for the personal preset. seriously what mods you using in the personal keybinds example.
Hello, hope you are still active in modding scene. I have an issue withe the current update.
Both with mods and without, fresh install, I can remap other keys. But when i want to remap the Quicksave and Quickload keys, F5 and F9, I crash to desktop. I always remap them to use those keys for SkyUI equip functions.
Please do you know what may be causing this? I have searched for any infor about anyone experiencing the issue and could not find any.
I do not see you mapping Quicksave and Quickload in your image but in the txt file they are mapped to 0x3f and 0x43 respectively. Am assuming I can remap them myself to something else or unmap them completely.
Hi there, late to the party, but stumbled recently over this useful mod. Thx for sharing! There's one thing bugging me out. It seems like there's no entry for the switch between 1st and 3rd person. There's an entry for toggle pov, which i thought, to be the right entry, but it simply centers the camera behind the pc. Any hint on that would be appreciated.
You are using a camera mod that makes vanilla POV switching impossible. Don't remember which mod exactly but it is an issue coming from another mod you are using.
Thx for this. Appreciate the work. One suggestion: Move switch view to mouse3/middle mouse. Frees up a key and uses the middle mouse for both zooming and camera view. Makes more sense to me, especially since Skyrim doesn't use the middle mouse button for some reason.
small question cuz i'm sick of looking at similar mods/"fixes" which don't work is it possible for me to fix the esc button so that i can use it to close the map menu/any menu for that matter? everything else should stay the same i'm just used to closing tabs with esc rather then tab and now it's quite annoying
idk if it's a skyui/another mod'\s issue but i've already spend too much time trying to solve this more then i'd like so if this is a solution plz lmk
You've assigned literal keys to all the dialogs, and now they don't follow mapping of movement. If I put movement on the arrows, I would need to look down to the keyboard and search for "C" or whatever. The mapping dialog page has become useless, and all changes need to be done in this textfile. One could instead make Hotkey, Screenshot, CameraPath, Zoom In, Zoom Out mappable by setting the resp. columns to 1, so that they can be moved to get out of the way (and the mouse wheel disabled). This way the hotkeys can be put either on the number row or the numpad as you wish. It's unfortunate that only the main keys can be exposed.
One thing that doens't seem to work for me is combining literal keys with variables, like so: 0x26,!0,Toggle POV Is this expression not valid? 2 literals, and 2 variables work.
What the devs done here is more reasonable than in Fallout, where most letter keys were hardcoded and didn't follow, and I had to click everything with the mouse.
Does this also separate the Item Zoom from Sprint button and Tab Switch from the L Alt button in the inventory menu?
I want to use shift as sprint like your mod shows but every time I've rebound sprint to shift otherwise it makes the inventory equip mode (which is always shift) also zoom the item chosen in the menu effectively disabling equip mode.
And conversly, when I set it to L Alt, then I cannot use L Alt to switch tabs in inventory because it is zooming instead...
Load the file with https://hawk.bar/SkyrimControlMapper/? and check for yourself. If it isn't then you can directly fix it for your needs. But I never encountered the bugs you are describing while using it.
you can edit the file inside this mod there and just rebind the toggle to nothing and add a keybind for walking.
but since the game sometimes remembered the setting wrong for me or it wasn't always just walking (it technically just does the opposite of what the toggle is set to) I removed the button and just left the toggle. Especially since sprint is a separate button and I wanted as much room for modded keybinds.
An interesting and useful solution! Now I feel like that I am playing a modern game. BTW, the key bindings for the Journal Menu (x button and y button) is wrong I think. Maybe it was inherited somehow from Controlmap.txt Fixed and Cleaned?
if not then delete the custom keybinds file that gets generated in your skyrim folder next to the .exe if you changed your kebinds in the past, cause that breaks the way this alters the keybinds.

For the Hide UI option there are 2 mods I used each have their own pros and cons:Would this mod make it possible to allow me to dual bind the activate/talk key to my keyboard and also to my mouse?
Thanks
