Could you make a (vanilla plus) setting below the "repair pod" and "repair radio" configurations to give the vanilla storage items with just the extended storage space? It always bothered me how such a spacy life pod had such small storage space. Don't get me wrong, this is cool, but slightly immersion breaking.
Also there's a small bug, not game breaking, that causes the mod which activates all distress signal radio transmissions, upon repairing the radio, to not work until you go into the configuration file and disable the "repair radio" setting. Might cause some people to think the "all distress signals" mod is broken if they don't know that you have to disable the "repair radio" setting before it'll start working as intended. If you can't figure out how to update it so the repaired radio activiates all distress signals when enabled just update your description to let everyone know that it needs to be disabled in the configuration file if they are using both this mod and the mod which activates all radio distress transmissions.
Edit: Apologies... just a pleb forgetting about the mods tab... ignore me.
This is an awesome mod for those who wanna get right into the game with building a base. But Im curious, are we gonna get a Below Zero version as well?
I was really excited to use this mod since I wanted to start over but didn't feel like starting from complete nothing. I'm pretty into the base building so I wanted to make a loadout so I can gather some minor supplies (titanium and ore, didn't want to make it too easy for myself lol) and get on my way to finding somewhere to settle down. Unfortunately, a large chunk of my stuff didn't end up going in the storage, mostly tools. This is what I had (in format) in the config file:
I made sure to do the math so it'd all fit in the 54 space. I went to the mod menu and the only sliders that appeared from my list were Lithium and Battery. I kinda just assumed that the rest wasn't there since they were all tools/usables, and would just be in the lifepod when I started. So I set the sliders and started a new game. The ones I set spawned but the rest didn't. I checked around the mod page and I see that people were able to make custom loadouts with some of the same items as mine, but my loadout didn't work. I also haven't seen this problem anywhere in the comments, so idk what to do. Anybody know how to fix this? How'd you get yours to work and why won't mine? Thanks :(
This mod is really great but it's super buggy, super buggy. none of my sliders save, I can't add anything to the loadout or remove anything, I can't even disable default loadout, admittedly the default loadout is good but it's unfortunate that it's so buggy I can't change it.
Unfortunately no, once you close the options menu everything reverts back to the default (but what you had input is still there in the files until you reopen the option menu before starting a new game)
I suggest going into creative, figuring out what you want to put in the initial loadout and writing it down. Input it all in 1 go and start your survival game. That's how I did the Real Alterra loadout before oldark added it to the mod.
I realise that this mod is aimed at experienced(multiple play through) players, but i can see a missed opportunity for new players.
Yourself, SilverThorn12345 and SilverThorn12345 all make good points for your start up.
I personally use a much smaller loadout, which i feel is more suited for a first play through.
1 Knife - Basic survival 1 Scanner - Used in Conjunction with MrPurple6411's 'Unknown Name' [ https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/443] 1 Battery - Used In conjunction with DragonS315's 'NoBattery' [https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/421] 4 Flares - Basic survival 4 Filtered Water - Basic survival 4 Nutrient Blocks - Basic survival 2 First Aid Kits - Basic survival
I do have a couple of requests.
1. Could you make the pod storage size configurable? - I use randyknapp's 'CustomizedStorage' [https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/35] and your sizing overrides my desired settings 2. Could you make the player heal optional? - After all, you do get smacked in the face with a hull plate. ;)
