Am I the only one having an issue with getting them to unlock on the workbench? I have max engineering and all art of mining unlocked but i still cant craft them . Also using Ravenhearst.
While diamonds are hardy, they are also way too fragile to be used in a smashing tool, just saying that the sledgehammer mod doesn't look too realistic.
Unfortunately any mod made out of diamonds will lose to any other material when used in the sledgehammer, unless you stop using the sledgehammer for its intended purpose. That's just not their specialty. Take a look at their industrial use. Lots of cutting or brushing/sanding uses. Basically their properties allow to efficiently wear down pretty much any surface, but smashing things down isn't exactly their strength, as stated they'd make terrible tools for that as they'd break themselves much sooner.
This mod kind of works with A21 but results in the auger mod being able to be placed on the chainsaw and the chainsaw mod being completely unfunctional. The other mods seem to work as expected.
when it comes to unlocking these mods you need advanced engineering 5 to unlock them
in terms of getting diamonds, I would recommend a mod that adds drills (i.e. Oakraven Rock Drill) or a mod that adds diamonds to the trader but due to the fact that I don't know such a mod, I'm trying to make such a mod myself * also adding gasoline to the traders so far i have managed to add diamonds and petrol to traders by editing main file traders.xml
Thank you for the mod! For suggestions, since diamonds are the hardest substance on earth and are used for cutting, could you also add a damage/cutting increase? Perhaps for increasing bleed damage and duration.
.. just about every (vanilla) "physical" weapon out there .. lol .. (Edit) though that's kinda already in the vanilla game .. you could easily make your items a tad OP for late-game (though you are already at lvl5 engineering) for folks that don't use a mod like "Better Blades" ..
(Edit) I originally said "shooters not included .. unless you added something like a "Weapon Hardening" mod item .. that's a thought .. kinda like when some weapons companies discovered "hard points" and hardening specific items to increase durability as well as better function and less jamming .." .. Just looked through your mod and noticed you have a weapon hardening 'magazine" item already in there .. nice .. (Edit)
.. Diamond-tipped Chain Saw Blade ..
.. Diamond-tipped Auger Bit ..
.. just thinking out loud here .. Great Idea .. not sure I have seen another mod that does something like this .. thanks for sharing your talents and hard work ..
I didn't think about mods for these tools because I don't use them I'll add them when I have time when it comes to firearms, I don't add diamond mods to them because they focus on different mechanics than, for example, a steel ax that chops wood

Do you have a suggestion for another modification for sledgehammer?
I'll deal with it right away

Diamond Tipped Bullets(9mm, .45, 7.62, shotguns are to wasteful)
Diamond Tipped Arrows(100% recovery of diamond arrow tips since there’s “no way” those are breaking)
Diamond Tipped Chrosbow Bolts(100% recovery of diamond chrossbow bolt tips since there’s “no way” those are breaking)
As a general view damage can be higher than all the AP ammo and steel arrows/bolts
