I like your mod and concept but i have a little question, could you make this mod to make always WET weather in all biomes?, i mean rain without thunder. I found this command "weather DefaultWet"
To be honest a am a little confused by your comment. What do you actually mean?
- "could you make this mod to make always WET weather in all biomes" - this is what the modlet does - "i mean rain without thunder" - read the other comments, already asked and can't be done just with xml - "I found this command "weather DefaultWet"" - where did you find this. "DefaultWet" does not appear in any of the Configs xml and not a command in the debug menu. Please describe where you see this.
I found commands here https://commands.gg/7dtd/blog/weather. I think WET weather is rainy weather before RAIN and STORM weather. Im not modder, so maybe i something wrong understand.
The debug commands you can use are not the same as what you get in the xml. Yet it got me thinking. And there is a trigger value where if you are below it the game is officially raining yet you see no rain. I think I have done it. I am working out the value that triggers thunder (when raining) and I have managed to get below that. It is working as I type. I will sort the mod out and when posted will message you here.
Final result is that I can stop all thunder sounds in normal gameplay. I cannot stop thunder just before and during the horde nights. Not sure if thunder removal just in game is worth sharing with the world as it doesn't fulfill everything that I am trying to achieve.
Weird that you were getting crashes. Every version of my modlets I of course test and have tested by others. I am glad the current version works for you.
Love this mod. Combined with the always foggy mod and darker night's it makes for some good horror vibes.
One question though. I selected the "always rainy" version except it still is constantly thunder storming. Is there a way to disable or reduce the frequency of the thunderstorm sound.
I have not had time to mess with this yet. I am not sure if you can seperate the rain and the thunder sounds without Unity editing intervention. There is in the Weather Definitions for "Rainy" the property name="AmbientSound" value="..." I will have to mess around with this sometime and work out if it changes something. If I find anything then I will be able to update the modlet. If you look into it then tell me if you get any luck.
It is because the thunder sound is hard coded into the Unity so canno be changed in the xml. The same reason I could reduce the auger sounds but not the chainsaw in my other mod.
You have two options to remove thunder as it is not possible with a simple modlet.
1. Spend a great deal of time learning Unity and the intricacies of fully modding 7 Days To Die. I guess, as I don't have this skill set, you would have to change out the current weather sound files or omit the thunder sound files if the ambient sound is layered.

Much appreciated anyway and great mod I love it! With this an always foggy mod the atmosphere is so much creepier.

2. Remove headphones or switch of speakers.

And usefull to learn how to mod some files and how weather work in 7DTD.
Works fine with alpha 20.7
