From this point going forward, this mod will only be supported in singleplayer. Multiplayer support has proven incredibly difficult due to the poor quality of 7D2D's netcode. I have spent countless hours implementing multiplayer fixes only for them to break one aspect of the mod or another. I have many new features I would like to bring to this mod, but I have been unable to due to the time commitment multiplayer support has required. As such, I have decided to end support for multiplayer for the time being and instead focus my time on new features and improvements. This was not a decision I made lightly but I feel it is the best decision for myself, my health, and the future of this mod.I understand many of you will be disappointed in this development. Multiplayer support may return in the future, however I will not make that a guarantee. Requests for multiplayer support either in public or private will be ignored.
Isnt it possible anyway to drive it on a muiltplayer server or just the features doesnt work? it would be enough for me to drive it and use the storage.
@idc12 did the developer of 7days change anything or why does the nomad have such big problems with multiplayer? it worked fine last year, we LOVED it.
now, it has new features, mods etc. but it's not even drivable anymore.
can I help you out with this? i'm software developer myself, know unity etc. and made plugins for rust (facepunch) and other games :)
The Nomad never worked well in multiplayer due to game limitations. There were abundant issues even if you never encountered them previously. None of the Nomad V2 features were given any multiplayer support which is why it doesn't work now since V2 was a massive overhaul both feature wise and codewise. I'm not looking for solutions to multiplayer compatibility. I spent way too many hours on it previously and it drained me mentally to the point I considered giving up on the mod.
Loving the ne playthrough with the nomad, great job! Any chance we could craft with mats directly stored in the nomad? i kinda miss that feature from my other playthroughs Edit: nvm silly me :D cheers
Compatibility with the dozens of UI mods out there isnt going to happen. UI mods like to rename vanilla windows or get rid of vanilla UI components. I'm not going to spend hours making patches for every UI mod.
I had the same problem, so I came here looking for answers. After reading IDC12's reply, I noticed that the UI to add the steering wheel etc, was behind my inventory. I know a little bit about modding, so I tinkered with the xml's to see if I could move the UI to where I could use it for my specific UI setup, and I figured it out! So, to anyone who wants to use this and their UI, all you have to do is open: IDCTheNomad\Config\XUi\windows.xml then scroll down to find "windowVehicleWorkstation" and then under the panel "header" and "content", just adjust the pos value on the left to a positive number to move the UI to the right or a negative to move it to the left. For example: mine looks like this: <panel name="header" pos="1610,0" and <panel name="content" depth="0" pos="1610,-43" (yes I needed it that far to the right-hand side of the screen to use lol)
Anyway, I hope this helps anyone having this same issue!
@FoxStarwind I'm trying so hard to find where the panel for the turret's turn-on button is. I'm using SteelUI and the button for the turret is behind the Modifiers panel so I can't turn the damn turret on lol If I may ask, can you help me locate that specific panel so I can move either the turn on button or the modifiers penal over to the left?
So I'm having a slight problem using this mod where the zombies aren't walking/crawling around like they're supposed to. They just kind of stand in place wherever they spawn. Any idea if it's on my end and if so how to fix it?
loving the mod its now a must have for me i am not sure how to use the water system i cant see anything to axes it i have the rain and water condenser but i dont see anything in any of the menus (was using an older 2.0 version
Hi, IDC I really love this mod, thank you so much for making this😊 I don't know if it's me or other people might have the same problem I installed a big backpack mod, and the backpack UI covers the Nomad's UI so that I couldn't add modules into the Nomad. Which means I couldn't drive this lovely RV😭

Thanks for the mod.
I did figure it out; the UI mod I was using hides the extra parts window.
