From this point going forward, this mod will only be supported in singleplayer. Multiplayer support has proven incredibly difficult due to the poor quality of 7D2D's netcode. I have spent countless hours implementing multiplayer fixes only for them to break one aspect of the mod or another. I have many new features I would like to bring to this mod, but I have been unable to due to the time commitment multiplayer support has required. As such, I have decided to end support for multiplayer for the time being and instead focus my time on new features and improvements. This was not a decision I made lightly but I feel it is the best decision for myself, my health, and the future of this mod.I understand many of you will be disappointed in this development. Multiplayer support may return in the future, however I will not make that a guarantee. Requests for multiplayer support either in public or private will be ignored.
Isnt it possible anyway to drive it on a muiltplayer server or just the features doesnt work? it would be enough for me to drive it and use the storage.
Love the mod. I hope 2.0 doesn't break things too badly for it, because it will be such a huge boon there. The new biome system basically forces you to move on after a while, and I don't particularly want to build a new base in each biome.
With 2.0 coming out soon, i hope the author is active enough to update this mod. I've been playing it for a while, and really dont want to lose it.
Unrelated question: But does the vehicle drive faster if i install a higher tier part? or one of the mods? Or is there only one speed? Because the vehicle feels slow.
Hello, is there a way to increase the storage capacity of boxes and the capacity of mods for the nomad? Right now it has 16 mod slots but I'd like to have all mods installed. It does not change when i try to increase it via the files from 16 to 32 for example: <passive_effect name="ModSlots" operation="base_set" value="32"/>
Same with the storage boxes as I'm kind of a hoarder I need more storage space too but it does not increase the slots if i change the files and save them: <item_modifier name="idcVehicleModMegaStorageBox" installable_tags="wsvehicle" modifier_tags="storagebox" type="attachment"> . . . <property name="InventoryRowsAdd" value="72"/>
Hey IDC, just got around to building a Nomad, and I am in love with this thing. Going from a bike to a mobile base was an incredible jump in QOL.
The water system has me stumped, though. I have the water storage installed, as well as the septic filter and rain barrels. But when I access the water storage via the workbench option on the radial menu, it shows that I have 1,000 water, as well as three storage barrel slots and an output slot.
What do I put in those slots, and how can I harvest the water? I have a screenshot of the UI, but I'm not sure how to add it from my phone.
I am having a problem with the mod, version 1.1.0 with 7dtd version 1.4. I installed the mod with Vortex and was able to craft a Nomad in game and place it on the ground, but then I get the following errors on the console when I try to access it:
2025-06-01T17:58:46 111.351 ERR [XUi] Error while updating window group 'radial': 2025-06-01T17:58:46 111.357 EXC Method not found: void .GameManager.ShowTooltip(EntityPlayerLocal,string)
Does anybody know how to fix this or what I might have done wrong? Thanks in advance.
May I ask how to add the modifier? When I opened the car, there was no place to add the modifier inside. I tried pressing many keys but there was no response. I can only drive but cannot use the relevant modifier
A radial menu should open when you hold the interact key. Have you watched the Mod Spotlight video linked on the mod page? It gives an overview of how the vehicle mods are meant to work.
Enjoying the mod so far! It's an interesting way to play the game, having a mobile base instead of a permanent location.
I haven't figured out how to get boiled water out of the water system yet though. I understand it slowly collects water in a massive tank and then dispenses it one jar at a time. I'm able to dispense murky water like a default dew collector, but putting in the vanilla dew collector mods in the three slots above the dispense button doesn't seem to do anything. Is there a particular Nomad mod I need to craft to get clean water? Is it locked behind the last tier?
@idc12 did the developer of 7days change anything or why does the nomad have such big problems with multiplayer? it worked fine last year, we LOVED it.
now, it has new features, mods etc. but it's not even drivable anymore.
can I help you out with this? i'm software developer myself, know unity etc. and made plugins for rust (facepunch) and other games :)
The Nomad never worked well in multiplayer due to game limitations. There were abundant issues even if you never encountered them previously. None of the Nomad V2 features were given any multiplayer support which is why it doesn't work now since V2 was a massive overhaul both feature wise and codewise. I'm not looking for solutions to multiplayer compatibility. I spent way too many hours on it previously and it drained me mentally to the point I considered giving up on the mod.
Loving the ne playthrough with the nomad, great job! Any chance we could craft with mats directly stored in the nomad? i kinda miss that feature from my other playthroughs Edit: nvm silly me :D cheers

Thank you for your time, and this wonderful mod.
