I did some tests and found that the game freezes for a long time, but then launches. Also, if I press any button while it's frozen, it crashes immediately. So what happened was that after 10 minutes the game seemed to have crashed for me, but to be sure, I checked in the task manager and by pressing keys to get there, it crashed. I don't know why it deos that, but hey it works now. Sry for the confusion.
The main goal of this mod was to enable third-person view with a few patches. Since I'm not using it much in my current playthrough, I’m unsure when I'll add more features. However, the mod is open source, so any contributions or pull requests are welcome!
Sorry about this; seems when I enabled the controller support (v1.2.0), this should only have happened for controllers; not when using a keyboard. I'll handle it.
The 3rd person animations for Power attacks were broken since 1.0 was released, this is the same for skinning Animals with knifes, the bows animation were broken, but the TFP did fix that, which confuses me why not fix the other 3rd person, the game was intended for First person so i guess thats way they havent fixed it unless they are very slow
Low chances; this mod relies on the keymaps (sneak/etc) instead of the actual button/sticks used; removing the hussle of dealing with keyboard/mouse/controllers.
However, project is open source and PRs are welcome.
dont know if it is a conflict with other mod but everytime i die in first person, i does not change to third person for the dead animation, it just floats in first person.
I absolutely love what you've done. I've been looking into making third person better for this game because I know a part of the community yearns for it. I even made this post on Steam that got zero attention and I kindly ask for you to read it. I would love to know your opinion on getting that potential 360 camera I mention in the post (see references inside) working.
Just like I said in that post I've also always wanted to get into making my own mods for games and I would really like for my first mod to be for this game. The funny thing is that I wanted it to be adding footsteps back into the game when you're in third person, which you've already done. I'm really looking for a guiding hand to get me into making mods, I have some very limited experience using Unity, I've learnt some blender, specially the animating side, very little sculpting. I would really love to get in contact with you and maybe offer you a hand and learn some things.
I read your Steam post, and I appreciate your passion for enhancing the third-person experience in this game. Your idea for a 360 camera is interesting, and I’d be happy to discuss how we might get that working.
5. Can anything be done for when moving sideways or back and sideways the screen becomes jittery or is that the best it can be cause of the engine? I can't reproduce/see this issue.
Would it be possible for your immersive crosshair to keep the crosshair on for weapons/tools? Yeah, I want to experiment with adding this feature, and at least making it a toggleable option in the Gears.

Yeah, the issue with the power attack not working is an issue which require manual patching; same thing I did with fixing with sound steps.

Or should I just remove it period? Cause when I ADS with a gun the removal of the crosshair is not ideal.
that's what I did.Also, when I power attack with a knife, it doesn't hit the zombies.

The intent of this mod is to hide the big crosshair, but if you don't mind it, yeah please try to remove the immersive crosshair.
Hmm, I will if I can update the docs to not imply that the immersive crosshair is required.
Can confirm sideways I can see the screen becoming jittery as well. Added to the pipeline.
