Hi everyone! The mod has been updated with a new tool that will update the game's settings for you. Anyone experiencing audio bugs please limit the game's fps to 105 or lower. A high frame rate causes issues with the audio and has nothing to do with this mod.

Yes, and you'd need to revert the Startup Movies and Lens Flares setting if you've changed them.
I should note our mod doesn't alter the default graphics options in the game, it simply adds additional options to allow the settings to go higher or lower than default.
No idea why but my game volume is ridiculously low to the point of being unplayable its more than half as low as everything else, please help I cant play like this, I dont have any fancy speakers or headphones that I could crank up to louder volumes... I usually run my alienware x15 r1 speakers between 80 to 100% volume and it is enough
can anyone please help me, the ENGINE_SETTINGS.XML file does not show up when I search for it in the directory provided by the instructions, no I am not on linux.
Just follow the instructions, it clearly says - Please specify the main folder of the game, and then it clearly says OK or Patch something like that. Its as easy as that.
This, together with Alias isolation give this game graphics better than most modern games. I am actually shocked, and its not even taxing on the PC. I just had to decrease in the options the FOV which was ridiculously high. You are supposed to feel claustrophobic in this game. I hope you do more games, some gaming company should hire you.
I use linux but I've never seen a game use a different folder structure like this before. I commented an an install guide on the thread below this if you'd like to add it to your description
The exe unfortunately doesn't work right in a wine instance. Download the xml file instead of the installer exe, then rename it from "ENGINE_SETTINGS.XML" to "engine_settings.xml" and place it here: ~/steamapps/common/Alien Isolation/share/data/data

Hey so this mod seems to rework the FOV system in the game and therefore the values are different. I was just wondering what the equivalent of the base game's default 47 FOV would be in this new scale? When looking, it seemed like the 75-85 range but I couldn't really tell. Thanks!

Solved it didnt have permissionI hope you do more games, some gaming company should hire you.
Edit: The setup is still \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Alien Isolation\DATA\ for me. Any idea why it shows up differently for you?
