Don't forget to read the mod's requirements and install the mod loader.
Be careful with Input.ini lines - Nexus can make a mess of the text (he doesn't like "action")! If parts of the text appear broken to you, look at the pictures and at the separate text file in the downloads!
The game being paused means cameras won't show the video - just unpause with the hotkey when switching to those (will address this in the next update).
9. Open %LOCALAPPDATA%\ASF\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini with notepad and if it's not empty (!!!) add this line to the end: ActionMappings=(ActionName="ModPauseGame",bShift=False,bCtrl=False,bAlt=False,bCmd=False,Key=F6) So, for me the input.ini within loaclappdata is EMPTY... What to do then?
I just downloaded all of "notAnotherModder"'s mods and it was at this mod, that i went... No...that would be making the game too easy, this feels like cheating
tooootally has nothing to do with all the steps to make it work no no no its integrity, i have it some of it somewhere
Jokes aside, ive been pausing the game every time before using the map only to be dissapointed when my marines end up getting swarmed while i look for datapads your mod is doing the good work, saving marines everywhere, thank you ^^
Is it possible to add another version of pausing while in the map? I mean - when You open the map by default time runs as always and then, by choise push a button to pause?
This could be useful for guys like me - when my marines are moving, I'm 90% of the time scanning the map for aliens. So now with default pause I have to unpause it every time and it's a little annoying...
But ability to pause on the map, by choise would be awsome and very helpful! Thanks for the great job on improving the game <3
Works like a charm for me. Reading a couple comments I've set my UserInput.ini (I guess that's what people are talking about) to "read only" and had no problem with that.
I'm having the same issue DFredericks is having where the input.ini file keeps clearing itself.
I was able to get the mod working finally after launching the game to menu, then closing the game and reopening it again multiple times. It randomly started working after that.
I'm not sure if the game is trying to overwrite that file, but it does seem to be an issue, at least on my system.
