Thank you so much for this. Has sorted out my main issue with this game and made it much more pleasant to play. Can't believe it has so few endorsements.
That newspaper is just a pita. On one occasion It was telling me people were leaving my city in droves and when I went there everyone in every house was perfectly happy if not euphoric and my population hadn't changed at all - conversly it told the world I had won a war. I hadn't even started a war, let alone won one and hadn't even attacked a pirate ship - sigh. I had no issue with it telling real bad news, if that was a game mechanic, but it made stuff up that affects the happiness of my inhabitants, I get that that is meant to mirror what real world newspapers do but umm, No thanks if I wanted the real world I wouldn't be playing a game. Thanks again :)
To me this is a fix Thank you! The newspaper has annoyed me for so long telling me to give me people in the new world schnapps when I don't have any Hasienda Resedenses to begin with. So thanks to this mod I will not be forced to use propaganda when I don't want to.
The problem is, if, or when you do add the DLC, and you have the Hacienda, it then says there is no marketplace. Which is plain dumb. They've made the Hacienda to be the de-facto marketplace. I'll be glad that it won't be in the news now. Plus the foul ups, when "m not doing any missions, I'm assuming it's ignoring the NPC's random quests.
