I haven't had any problems with save issues after replacing Yabber with WitchyBND. Just delete the Yabber folder included with the creator, copy the latest WitchyBND to a folder in the same directory, rename the WitchyBND folder to Yabber, and WitchyBND.exe to Yabber.exe.
Tested it by changing my loadout, emblem, completing an Arena match, then saving and quitting the game. Started it back up and all the changes loaded up just fine.
Tried this and when exporting to game, it said that the save file failed with result 258. I have given write permissions, as well as copying the sl2 file to another location. Can't seem to find out what I'm doing wrong you got any ideas? Much appreciated.
I had a similar issue once (don't remember the error), but I just clicked export again and it worked. You sure you've got a Yabber folder containing the renamed WitchyBND.exe (and its other required files) next to the EmblemCreator.exe?
Speculation on my part, but WitchyBND might take longer than Yabber or it returns a different value when extracting the savegame, so this tool just assumes an error even if the save extracted properly. Exporting again uses the already extracted save files (in the AC60000.sl2 folder next to your save file) then modifies and re-packs them.
Not sure why the error is inconsistent on my system, but I've imported several logos without issue since I last received the error.
Thanks for trying to help. I downloaded everything again and re-did your steps to no avail. Ended up just deleting the Yabber folder that came with the creator, downloaded Yabber manually off of Github and put it back in next to the creator which ended up fixing it somehow lol. Thanks again.
FYI, Yabber isn't being updated as it's been replaced by WitchyBND. It'll work to get your emblem in game, but I imagine the latest version on Github has the same saving problem as the one included with the creator (it might even be the same version).
Yeah I initially thought that at first but thankfully had no issues so far. Save file hasn't been corrupted, and everything has saved after every session lol.
The fact that this corrupts your save file is beyond retarded, and since it's a known issue for a while, how is this not fixed? I've spent 5 hours customizing ACs and all that time is f*#@ing wasted.
Great mod, is there any chance we can expect support for other options in the future, triangles and lines for example? I don't know how hard it is, but I think having lines be included would be awesome.
I added support for Circle and Ellipse (not in a release build yet). Triangles are tricky since Geometrize can create arbitrary triangles while the emblem editor can only do mirror symmetric triangles. Lines I could do via a thin rectangles but in my testing the generations with line look kind of bad, they are also so thin they might not even show properly in-game.
I'm exploring better generation options in general though, we might be able to get rid of the Geometrize app entirely for something better.
theres a website for triangles and lines and quadratic beziers (aka curvy lines) but when trying to Json stuff over it always crashes the emblem program
Made an Emblem which was large and it made 8 separate emblems and the readme says to layer the separate emblems together but doesn't show how and can't figure out how tf to do that in game. I've contracted a migraine trying to figure out how to do this.
