About this mod

A mod inspired by the ac6-roguelike community challenge, automating part of the process

Requirements
Permissions and credits
This mod aims to turn the mission based gameplay of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon into a roguelike. This mod is currently in beta so expect some issues or unforeseen behaviors.

ITS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THIS MOD WILL MESS UP YOUR SAVE FILE, THEREFORE USE THE ALT-SAVES MOD ALONGSIDE THIS ONE.

About
This mod makes the following changes:
- replaces LOADER 4 with JAILBREAK from the "Escape" mission with weapons and all to make the helicopter bossfight bearable, but will remove them afterwards for the sake of the challenge.

- checks for mission progression and reward the player with a random part automatically displaying it once returned in the garage.

- If the player happens to die during a mission the mod will detect that and leave the player with "QUIT" as the only option available `Own your mistakes >:)`.
Then when the player returns to the garage it will find itself back to the beginning, with the base assembly, without weapons or additional parts, and mission progress reset.

The objective of the challenge is to beat as many missions as possible without dying, up to NG+2.

Installation
1) To install this mod go to the "Files" tab of this page and download the latest version (download the required files that will appear while trying to download the mod as you'll need them later)

2)
Once everything is downloaded unzip the Modengine2 folder, then unzip the mod folder inside the Modengine2 "mod" folder, making sure the files are not inside a subdfolder

Here's how it should look if installed correctly

3) Edit the `config_armoredcore6.toml` file inside the Modengine2 folder and add the paths pointing to the two dll mods at the `external_dlls = []` line

4) Click on the `launchmod_armoredcore6.bat` file and the game should be up and running

Known Issues
- Sometimes the game might not always reward you, progressively getting worse following missions progress

Planned improvements
- Adding checks for each missions optional challenges for giving an additional part each
- Implementing the "Stage Tiers" when rewarding the player with parts
- Automatically adding OST Chips based on mission progress, for now the access to the OS Upgrades and Arena has been granted from the beginning including the first 3 encounters
