In order for it to work, you can have cheat table open before launching the game, but after you launch the game, go back to cheat engine and make sure the table is loaded. I believe you also have to make sure the correct process is selected and then you should be able to do "Initialize script" or whatever.
Cheat Engine is such a confusing, jumbled program. I have no clue what I'm looking at when I have it open. Can we get some help from the uploader of this mod here?
Thanks for the upload. I've always loved this game, beat it twice on Xbox with hundreds of hours played. But the combat and progression always held it back in my opinion. This file lets me tweak it exactly how I want it to be.
Question: how do I save the values in Cheat Engine? I load the file fine, but have to edit the values myself each time. I hit the save button after editing and it makes a new .CT file, but the values are always the same as the original. I have to edit the values every time I play, which is becoming tedious.
I have no idea. I think a save function has to be implemented in the script of the table for it to happen, not sure. There are tables I use for other games that have a save option.
I understand it can get tedious to check things off everytime but at least what we have is better than nothing.
Edit: this is what I was told for other tables I use that have the functionality:
"It's a bunch of `lua` that creates a folder and txt file in %temp%, then called on with a couple of scripts."
So I may look to see if I can make it happen myself (I'm not a coder though), but If you want to take a shot at it by all means do so. If you are successful with it, it can be uploaded here.
For anyone who (like me) likes to have constant max bounty, you can edit the Reduced Bounty Cooldown script by changing "addss" to "subss" in there. This means that the bounty goes up instead of down. Not sure what the max number the bounty can go up to, or whether the game crashes if this number is reached but so far all good.
No it doesn't. This "mod" is just a Cheat Engine script, so just text. Many antiviruses falsely flag Cheat Tables as viruses because Cheat Engine is used to alter programs in system memory, a technique that is often classified by antiviruses as inherently malicious, even though it doesn't have to be, like in the case of game cheating.
By the way, this is also exactly how trainers work, except they come packaged in a standalone executable. Those are actually inherently more dangerous though because you have no idea what the executable actually does, whereas a Cheat Table is easily visible as a script.
Yes, you must do it everytime you run the game. Cheat Engine alters the game running in system memory, no game files are actually affected as a result, and when you exit the game, all the changes are lost because the game is no longer in system memory.
The old tool that this table is based off of actually edited the game executable in the game files, so those changes were persistent, but the original mod author has been MIA for a while so it has not been updated to support newer versions of the game (current version is 1.5.6, whereas the original mod was made for 1.5.3).
I did the steps in the right way, the script is initializing perfectly but once I select a script ( the enemy health multiplier ), my game just crashes, any idea or suggestion?

You see some info about the tweakpack.
And then there Compact mode and below it [ Initialize ] with a tickbox in front of it.
Just click the box and it will initialize
