DO NOT use this mod unless it gets updated. It MIGHT seem like it is working at first, but it only ends up making a mess of things, to the point of potentially corrupting your saves.
When using the backpack printer it thinks the Terrain Tool is an EXO Chip, so you can print an unlimited quantity of Small Cameras but the Terrain Tool gets stuck as unusable if you just happen to click to the recipe for the Small Camera. Exiting the save then returning sometimes fixes the Terrain Tool, but after doing this repeatedly can mess up the save to the point of being unrecoverable. If you remove the mod then ALL EXO Chips you already have will have no name or tool tip and will be unusable unless you reinstall the mod.
i put the mod in the astromodloader and the game launched but the mod deleted the EXOchip i had a pile of EXOchips and now they are gone i forgot to backup my save file
Hello. Your idea of this mod is good. But sadly it doesn't work. I put the mod in astromodloader and in the Paks folder and it doesn't work in either. Since it does not appear on the screen to unlock it. You could review it? Thanks and regards.
I rewrite: Hello again ... Sorry for the inconvenience. They're already ... It was my mistake. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience. Greetings.
At first, I also thought that this mod did not work. I thought that I had double and triple-checked all parts of the research menu, but I could not find "EXOChip" or anything similar. But then, after double-checking the comments here and the mod description, I finally found it.
Apparently, research items added by mods are not usually found by clicking the [right-arrow] to scroll through to the right. Instead, for stuff added by mods, it is necessary to check with the [left-arrow] to scroll through the left, starting from the default.
Specifically, look under the T2 heading (Medium) in the research menu. Then, use [down-arrow] four times to scroll down to "Extenders". Now, use [left-arrow] once or twice to find "EXO Chip". (Honestly, though, I think this should be mentioned in the mod description.)

Mod id in file name does not match metadata id: "EXOChip" != "EXOChip "

But this mod is still available in the latest version.

I really think 35K bytes is too much though can this be reduced by half
