YOU CANNOT USE DLAA AND DLSS AT THE SAME TIME
    _____________________

I thought DLAA is only available if you're not using the upscaling part of DLSS? If you run DLSS at Quality (or anything under 100% res) aren't you not able to use DLAA?

This mod/page makes it seem like anyone can just replace TAA with DLAA - but many NVIDIA users will be actively using DLSS's upscaling feature... its main feature FWIW.

EDIT: Yeah it's buried in your Point #2:
"Attention: This tweak disables the performance increase from DLSS because we are forcing DLAA via DLSS tweaks"

Should make that clearer from the get-go with the mod. And that sentence is a bit vague - anyone who has unfamiliarity with modding or DLSS will likely either not read that sentence correctly or understand it (believe me, every time I post a reshade I get multiple people asking me to explain how to install reshade) and will be confused when they get no upscaling.

Thanks for the feedback, but it's clear enough for most people. You're the only person who mentioned that it could be confusing.

The ini file location for the Game Pass version should be %localappdata%\Alabama\Saved\Config\WinGDK, but I'm not sure if the DLSS tweaks mod/tool will work because the Game Pass version may be incompatible with DLSS tweaks mod/tool.

My performance took a noticeable hit. I want to uninstall it. How can I revert back?

To uninstall the forced DLAA and revert the performance hit, simply delete the dxgi.dll
file. If you have Reshade installed for Avowed, delete the winmm.dll file instead.

Thank you, this worked! I suggest adding those instructions to the bottom of your guide!

Yeah dlaa fixes nvidia card AA problems like in BG3
But there is a large hit to FPS if close to 60fps already

I don't know why you give such advice, the "engine.ini" setting is one thing, there are no questions here. But to advise downloading third-party .dll .... from unknown people ....
If a person has RTX, then DLSS and DLAA will be available in the options anyway.

But I recommend paying attention to the fact that there are pre-installed libraries in the game folder:
    NVIDIA DLSS DLL -> nvngx_dlss.dll
NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction DLL -> nvngx_dlssd.dll
NVIDIA DLSS 3 Frame Generation DLL -> nvngx_dlssg.dll
but if you look at their file properties, then the library version is 3.5 - These are old libraries. Download new versions yourself and replace the files (do not mix them up, the files have similar names). the current version is 3.10.2 (I don't know why they decided to leave the numbering like this, but from version 3.10.1 - it is considered DLSS 4.0) This will give you really better anti-aliasing and fps increase.
(you can download from here, link from nvidia website, dll contains nvidia digital signature)

Additionally, in the NVIDIA app panel, find the game and in its graphics settings, almost at the bottom, find the item "DLSS replacement - model preset" select "use the latest", then DLSS 4.0 will definitely be applied to the game, even if you do not have RTX 50XX.

    UPD.
Okay, there really isn't a separate DLAA option in the game, but in the NVIDIA app for this game you can choose to use DLAA. Without downloading third-party files to your computer.

      1. There is no DLAA in game settings
      2. This whole site is about downloading some files from unknown people.

In any case, it is your choice, and you can always refuse to download files.

TrueN8mare has good points, and NexusMods scans the files for viruses. Additionally, you have at least Windows Defender, so you are doubly safe. However, it's ultimately your choice how to update the DLSS files. When I provide the updated DLSS files on Nexus pages, it's the easiest way for users and ensures they don't mess up the game by downloading the wrong DLSS files or replacing the wrong file.

      Easiest way to force DLAA:
Update DLSS to 310.2 (DLL is located in Avowed\Engine\Plugins\Runtime\Nvidia\DLSS\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64), start nvidia profile inspector (newest version), search for Alowed.
      Under DLSS overrides:
Activate DLSS  3.1.11+ Force all quality levels to DLAA.
Activate DLSS 3.1.11+ Force preset letter - Preset K.
      Apply changes.

You can just get it from Techpowerup
      https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/
      like everyone else
No need to get it from a git

Always been a big fan of forced DLAA in games that don't have it at launch. Game looks so much better now, no blur. With the no fog mod, you can see everything.

Oh man thank you so much for this!

Honestly hate that only DLAA can give this much clarity. This means only NVDIA RTX user can enjoy. And honestly /r/FuckTAA

I was able to follow your instructions until the end. But at the very end I got trouble with this:
"Rename the dlsstweaks DLL to winmm.dll and place it in the folder." I have NO dlsstweaks DLL so nothing to rename to winmm.dll... I have only dlsstweaks.ini file... Oh, and DLSSTweaksConfig.exe...

It's dxgi.dll. You only need to rename it if you also have ReShade installed, because ReShade has it's own dxgi.dll. You would rename the one from the DLSSTweaks folder.

@Rikiaz is right. Sorry for the confusion. I will revisit the last step to make it less confusing. Thanks for the feedback, @HeyJoeHUN81.

You can modify the engine.ini for reduced ghosting and sharper images, but the real game-changer is DLAA. Sadly, the only thing you can hope for is that the developers fix the poor anti-aliasing implementation. However, you can try the TSR upscaler at 100% maybe it will be better.

I'll try it, tired of the blurry graphics with or without DLSSS.
