Glad we finally got this one! Though, just to let you know that "Quicksave" is bound to F8 by default. How can I change this mod's input? I like to keep default bindings for KBM
Oops mb. You can change the keybind by opening the main.lua file of the mod with a text editor with Notepad. You then need to find this line at the end of the file:
this is the directory i placed the required files in and it works perfectly for me, it opens seamlessly in-game with f12
it's a shame it resets the envoy's appearance to the default since i didn't save my envoy's sliders for reference, but it's gonna be perfect for early game tweaking in my 2nd playthrough :) great work on this mod!
Unfortunately not working for me, which is sad because my character is absolutely ugly, lol. I thought they looked good in the menu but in the game, yucky! I was hoping to change that but no matter what I've tried, I've gone over the paths several times, edited the .ini, changed the key bind (F12 put my computer to sleep, haha), nothing seems to work. The menu just won't pop up for me. I've installed it manually, deleted it, installed it via vortex, deleted it, tried it each way two more times with the instructions in your Description and ... nada.
Im only at level 2 (early game) and its giving me 6-7 additional attribute points more than I would have at this point. Don't want to be OP. anything I can do?
Edit: Weirdly got it sorted out by choosing redistribute points in the character creator, distributed said points, then I had to distribute my points again after leaving the editor.
That said, is it just me who is hallucinating or does it add more attribute points to me every time I visit the character creator? Then when I return to the game my number of attribute points on my character sheet is negative.
Is this normal? I don't see anyone talking about it.
Nothing I am doing will get the command to work to run the script, but I think its because I don't know how to install the UE4SS properly. The folder structure seems different than the instructions no matter which version I check. Can someone verify the UE4SS I am supposed to use / check the instructions?
Hi, I just checked the latest UE4SS, which was recently updated. The current version you'll want is UE4SS_v3.0.1-359-g80b67cc in the Assets section at the bottom of the "Experimental-Latest" section of the Github. This will contain both the ue4ss folder and dwmapi.dll that you need. If you're playing Steam version, extract both of these files to the Win64 folder, using this path: Steam\steamapps\common\Avowed\Alabama\Binaries\Win64. This is where Avowed-Win64-Shipping.exe is. Inside the ue4ss folder is a Mods folder. Take the CharacterCreationMenu folder you downloaded from this mod and place it in the Mods folder so that it should look like Steam\steamapps\common\Avowed\Alabama\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\CharacterCreationMenu. It should work after that.

And change "F8" to anything you want from these keyinds: Valid keys - Pastebin.com
Edit: Uploaded an update that changes the keybind to F12.
C:\XboxGames\Avowed\Content\Alabama\Binaries\WinGDK

Edit: Negative attributes bug should be fixed in the latest version!
Like Sammy, I'm on game pass.
Or the latest one you find under experimental-latest.
