    Soul Scion is a subclass that is heavily inspired by one of my favorite games and classes, the Cipher class from Pillars of Eternity. I had to change certain mechanics and port as best as possible to BG3. They do not use spell slots but reap Soul Essence (Focus) from enemies on successful weapon attacks which fuels their spell casting

    This subclass has every Weapon Proficiency and can Single or Dual wield. Wielding both Melee and Ranged weapons works really well as the main emphasis is to deal damage and reap essence.

    Soul Scion gets Extra Attack from Essence Reaping passive at level 4 but only for the purpose of consistently fueling their spell casting and because of this the second attack will always deal 1/3 of weapon damage. This trigge...

    Astral Seer: Astral Instability has been renamed to Astral Chaos and has been mechanically changed:

    - Astral Chaos will now not block any Astral Flux abilities and it can be stacked Additively
    - Astral Eruption will allow clearing all Astral Chaos to 0 once above 3 stacks and will scale the damage with number of stacks
    - Chaos Fling is a bonus action Cantrip which also becomes available at 3 stacks of Astral Chaos but does not reduce or remove Astral Chaos
    - Added Chaotic Casting reaction which will give you the corresponding spell slot back if you roll Against DC 21 - Astral Chaos stacks at the cost of expending a Mind Surge

    Frostveil Sage will be a close quarters spellcaster and required to be in melee range. They wear only Robes but have a ton of ways to boost their AC either through Spells or with both INT/DEX being fully added to AC while not wearing armor.

    All spells also have reduced range to 8m. Given that before Level 5 they can Cast a Spell/Cantrip+ Unarmed Attack and at Level 5 can Cast a Spell/Cantrip + Melee Attack + Unarmed Attack all spells have had their damage reduced. Stacking Frostbite, which can additively be stacked, will then empower spells for extra damage so this will alleviate the nerfs in somewhat of a controlled manner. Balancing this class will not be easy so will look too feedback from everyone once it is released
