Noticed that multi-classing as Paladin and Cleric will also give you the "Paladin of X" tag. So I'm guessing that's what the feature was originally for.
It's true, in the vanilla game dipping just 1 level of cleric with 11 levels of paladin will give you the "Paladin of X Deity" tag. However, as the mod author mentioned, it seems that Paladins were originally intended to choose a patron deity in the character creator, but it's simply disabled in the game's code. Downloading this mod reenables the paladin's deity feature without needing to dip 1 level of cleric and therefore not giving up a 3rd feat at Paladin level 12.
One of my characters is a Vengeance Paladin of Tyr, and there's some very unique dialogue and interactions to be had with Anders and the Paladins of Tyr in Act 1 that isn't normally in the vanilla game.
other mods can overwrite it that make class changes even if they say its for another if they didn't do it right it'll overwrite my thing too, what I modify is paladin inside classdescription
I downloaded this mod a while back and it worked fine, but recently I went to start a new playthrough and the deity option wasn't there for paladins. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the mod, messed around with load order, and done everything I can think of to get this mod to work but so far it's done nothing. Is anyone else having this problem? Edit: nvm. Nothing to do with this mod at all actually. If this starts happening for people, you've likely got a recently added mod that isn't working with your game correctly and it's resetting your modsettings.lsx file whenever you start the game, so it looks like all your mods are installed and running but they aren't. Solved it by uninstalling my most recent mods one by one (making sure the new load order got exported to the game each time) until I knew I'd found the blockage when my other mods started working again.
The easiest way to do this might be by using additional mods, since this mod just enables the shared deity menu for Paladin, which isn't normally turned on/off on the fly within the same class. Check out Faithful and Faithless, which adds 2 new options to the God menu "faithful" (multiple gods, which you either don't specify or RP via dialogue choices) and "faithless" (no god). It's designed more for Deity for All but I would guess it should work the same with this mod, esp the Faithless option which isn't adding any dialogue tags to the character anyway, so there is little to mess up or conflict with that option.
I was mainly asking for the potential of a mixed party. For example, my player paladin with a deity, and Minthara. Minthara I assume abandoned Lolth for the Absolute,

whom she subsequently fell out of favor with
(and isn't a deity option anyway), and defaults to Selune.
I'll see if I can use Faithful and Faithless, thanks.
I absolutely love the idea for this mod, however it doesn't work for me. I've tried many times to add it and I also have the prerequisite Mod Fixer, but whenever I make a new character, it doesn't allow me to select my paladin's faith. Unfortunate, I really wanted this to work.
When I try to launch the game I get the error, "Failed to load the main menu from the current game mod Paladins Oath to the Gods. The main menu in that mod requires the level ."
Hey, apologies if this is a bit redundant, but I'm having difficulty getting this mod to work. I installed the mod fixer mod as well as this (I'm using the BG3 mod manager), but nothing seems to be working. Am I missing something?

And combined with this one you'll be able to play as a Paladin of Bhaal

If its not working, just move it up in the modlist.
