This mod does not attempt to fix vanilla issues that emerge from changing the party size limit, which any such mods will suffer from. My mod is simply another take on this kind of mod but allowing setting specific party size limits.
However, if you have problems with MCM settings not applying correctly, please report a bug in the Bugs tab.
1. How does this differ from Aether's mod, outside of MCM functions? 2. How does this work in multiplayer (specifically local)? 3. Any concerns loading saves with larger party sizes, like with Aether's mod?
this is a longshot and a stupid question but in my current playtrough with this mod the first cutscene with wyll and karlach doesnt trigger, even tho wyll is in the party. Even uninstalling or disabling this mod doesnt fix it. Sry that this sounds probably very stupid and idk if its even something happening because of this mod but im just assuming its either this or PLB. Is anyone else having this issue ?
I have never used party mods like this and I have a question: Even if a companion doesnt get chosen as the closest three to join the conversation, do their approval still change from your choises?
Can I ask why, and what you doing with 16 followers? Usually, I'm going with the roleplay excuse of having 8 people in the party, by splitting them 2 teams of 4, and it is kind of fun, and I image it would make sense, to investigate stuff in by splitting up :D
It's more for a personal reason, but I'm just trying to get 8 custom + 8 Companions for the romance, than plus 2 for the final two Companion I heard we're going to get, the last light lady and the bald space mouse man, plus one more so I can recruit Withers too, since he possesses the hirings hahaha. The 20th member is not needed tbh, just for my little sister who plays too, so a 9th custom player.
Also it'll allow for some more class building without having to play the game multiple times.
But yes, I agree with the splitting part, it's fun when a group plays and we all interact with the world as independent parties and seeing how person X made this choice that affected person Z over here, it's pretty cool.
Yes. There are mods that let you create companions ands recruit NPCs https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/4928 I'm running 16 characters in Act 3 now. There is NO balance possible, but it does allow you more dressup dolls!
I have seen many instances in my playthroughs, using PLB, where if you have more than 3 companions (like 5+ companions), there are times during particular cutscenes where a companion who should be in the cutscene is not part of the chosen 3 companions for that cutscene, resulting in unspoken dialogue occurring. As an example, there are moments where Karlach's dialogue and subtitles show up for a given cutscene, but because she was not part of the chosen 3 companions for that cutscene, her subtitles would show but another companion would be in the cutscene (like Shadowheart), resulting in her subtitles showing, and no voiced dialogue occurring at all. I hope that makes sense (and others have seen this before)
This mod allows you to pick the exact party limit, and even decrease from vanilla (I don't recall any mods that do this specifically) Also, some players reported crashes/memory leaks with PLB, although I'm not interested in verifying these claims and could just as well have been something else
Fair enough. Thanks. I'll run with this next game. I can confirm that I can launch the game and be using 13GB RAM and it creps up to over 20GB use. If that's leakage, I see it. But, as you say, I don't tie it to a specific mod

I don't mind doing the changing myself if, it's just simple coding.

Just the fact that you tried means a lot already, will report how it goes.
Thank you so much boss.

Does this mod avoid this type of problem?
