A new version (1.1.0.0) is live! This version achieves the same goal with a more friendly approach. Now, instead of changing the original Act1_ORI_DarkUrge script (which may be the cause of some reported errors, even if I couldn't reproduce them), adds a new script which makes the query QRY_ORI_DarkUrge_ReplaceAlfira() to return always true. Now it can't interfere with any other mod or conversation and should be resilient against future updates.
Hi! Not exactly, this mods makes the game belive that Alfira is always unavailable for the night event (as if she was killed/knocked out), so it triggers the backup bard Quil to play that event. This means that you won't kill Alfira and, when the other mod is updated, you could recruit her as usual.
Worked for me! Though I was bit confused because after talking to Alfira I had several long rests and neither she nor Quill showed up. I had to actually rescue the Owlbear Cub at the Goblin Camp when it finally triggered. So, maybe an advice to those who went to Emerald Grove and spoke to Alfira, but didn't get the scene to progress the story a bit?
The same issue,after talking to Alfira, I didn't trigger the first Durge Night event. It didn't work before until I moved it to load last. In the new game, I reached the goblin camp, but neither Alfira nor Quill showed up, so the butler didn't appear either. I'm not sure if this will affect the Durge Act 2 Night event, but I did save Alfira :)
The mod works as advertised as far as Quil showing up, but the next day, my companions don't even question me, even though I didn't hide the body. I have the latest version of the mod. Is there some kind of conflict happening?
