      Getting an error popup when I load the game through Vortex with this installed. Going one by one and this mod breaks my game. Idk if it's just me but thought I should let you know.

      That could be a vortex issue. I've heard vortex and bg3 don't get along.

    I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, I have BG3 mod manager but I don't seem to get these greetings. I still have the same as before. I even tried to move it to the beginning of the load order. Or does it not work mid game?

      Reply to myself if anyone has the same issue: I started an entire new game and quickly gained enough affection from Astar, but the mod was still not working. I took a close look at every mod I installed and found out it conflicted with this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/6539

      the Astarion romance reaction fixed mod. I removed the latter from my mod folder, and this one now works like magic. Just in case if anyone else wonders!

    Hi Cerberry,
    would you be willing to make such mods in the future? 

    1.Tweaking Astarion's "you can feed on me tonight if you'd like" dialogue. Would it be possible to include the lines he says after you ask him about that for the first time? I mean the "I'll eat you right up" one and the changed one as well (post patch 7) among the other usual lines he says in that situation?     2. Make him use the greeting "precious, little bhaal babe" among his usual greetings in a durge playthrough

      I'd love to hear the Bhaal babe line more often too! Only got it once when I spoke to him right after the cutscene reveal but I thought it was cute XD

      my soppy redemption durge + spawnstarion are happy with the patch 7 line, more tasteful, less sordid...
      and the precious little bhaal babe line is quite tasteless for redemption durge too...

      I always play redemption durge and I never took it that way! He always says the line "watch out, I bite" and his approvals show that he enjoys light ribbing. I always saw it as a term of endearment like acknowledging that he doesn't judge you for what you are and loves you anyway. I really like it lol. it's funny how different people are. <3

      i am +1-ing the first thing!!! I miss his old line of "I'll eat you right up" -sobbing- idk I just liked the playful way he said it. I myself have actually found the line in the dialogue code but it says DEPRECATED in front of it. (it's in the Astarion_InParty2 stuff, node 638. new line is 672) idk if this information would help in any way to possibly make this possible along with these other edits but I would be beyond ecstatic if something like this could be made possible!

      I second the second point! Precious little Bhaal babe is my favourite line in the whole game. Would love to hear it more. Could it be a seperate download by any chance? Pretty please :)

      Bhaal babe is so adorable. It's one of my faves too. And in act 1 he called me "dagger-happy friend" just once. Wish these greetings were not unique. They are good, imaginative nicknames, as opposed to calling you just friend or dear. They're all good though, I just would love more variance.

      Yes, please yes, I second this! If possible, I would love to hear him call my Durge, "precious little BhaalBabe," more than once! It's the damn cutest thing!     Hi, love this mod. But I just wanted to ask, after partnering with Astarion, he no longer says this greeting:  "Yes, darling? Do you need something?"
    Is he supposed to, with this mod? Or is that only a 'dating' line now?

    My next question is, would you please consider making a version of this mod where that line is included in the partnered greetings?
    It is my favorite line delivery, and it's like, an essential greeting for my rp.

    Is there a guide for how you did this? I have multitool and all that, but I have never played around with dialogue files in terms of editing them but this seems like it might be sorta easy (I hope) to do? I would like to edit his post cazadoor greetings for personal use and all I want to do is switch one greeting for another so I think I can do that myself. I have dialogue reader and all that and have edited the loca files for personal use so I am familiar with dialogue from that end.

      Adding for clarity, I know how to make the folder structure, pack the file, make the lsx file and all that. I am unclear on what UUID or other codes I need to change in order to swap out greetings and have it actually work in game. I looked for a wiki tutorial but couldn't find one, so if there is an easy way/tutorial out there you can point me to that would be awesome. If not, totally fine. Thanks!

      I can explain a little bit how I approached editing this!

      FYI, for anyone reading this NOT already familiar with these things: download Modder’s Multitool, Utilities > Game File Operations > Unpack Game Files, pick Gustav.pak, then Decompress UnpackedData Files; grab the latest Dialogue Parser; download a language loca file and use LSLib to convert it to xml; get yourself a nice code editor like VSCode. Now you’re up to speed! 🙃

      So let’s look at the post-Cazador greetings. Let’s say you want to get rid of one of them: “Ah, you’re so adorable when you’re thinking what to say”, for example. These greetings are also found in the Astarion_InParty2.lsx file.

      • Open the Dialogue Parser’s Astarion_InParty2. This lets you better keep track of the dialogue tree flow, and also lets you copy the entire line to make searching your loca file easier.
      • In your loca file, search for the line. You’ll see its associated handle: h24b940edga7e2g4b5ag8576g38c4578c16e6
      • Now search for the handle in Astarion_InParty2.lsx. You’ll find the TagText for the greeting:

        'TagText' is the dialogue handle. 'LineID' is the UUID that connects the dialogue tree, voice, animation, etc together. 'CustomSequenceId' does stuff for timelines, maybe? 'Stub' is... a stub. Or something.
      • Want the line gone? Just delete that whole node. Bye!
      • If you’re packing with Multitool, remember to save this file as Astarion_InParty2.lsf.lsx. Otherwise, you need to convert it to lsf with LSLib.
      But what if you want to move lines around? That’s a little more work. You can copy-paste the nodes elsewhere, but the hardest part will be figuring out where you are in the dialogue tree. Here’s what helped me:

      • In VSCode, open a workspace in your UnpackedData folder. This lets you search through all the files you’ve unpacked from the game to find handles, UUIDs, rootnames, etc.
      • Reference Dialogue Parser frequently so you know which lines appear together when you have multiple options, greetings, etc. to choose from.
      • Use your resources. As you saw, there’s not a whole lot. But Moxi’s docs helped me solve an issue with the greetings (more on that in a bit).
      • Make a cheatsheet of the relevant dialogue/flags you’re looking through. Here’s the one I made while I was editing this file:

      All of this should help you identify the lines you want, find the new dialogue tree you want to place them in, and move or copy-paste the nodes accordingly.

      As a heads-up, when I added additional greetings in my own custom Astarion_InParty2.lsx, the game pulled the wrong lines unless I deleted the ‘CustomSequenceId’ attribute from their nodes. Dunno if that was the most correct way of solving that problem, but it worked for me! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      I don't have time to actually do this now, but I will. I really, REALLY appreciate the way you laid this out bc this is how my brain learns and I genuinely wanted to do this myself so I can fiddle with more in the future. THANK YOU!!

      Also thank you Cerberry bc I have played around with the dialogue files and somehow had no idea the specific version of hello lover existed. It's really all I want and need lol. Thank you both a thousand times.

    would this mod conflict with this other one? Astarion Kiss Dialogue Fixed
    it seems like they shouldn't as that one is to retrieve kiss lines from EA and this one is for greetings, but i was wondering if they both touch the same files...
