    A lot of people have been asking about updates to this mod, well here's the deal:

    I was kinda waiting for the official BG3 mod tools to come out to make the process easier, and they just haven't come out yet. That's really all. When/if they do end up coming out, that's when I'll be more likely to return to this project.

    Does this still have updates planned? Or is mod kill? Would love to have Long Rest for the new spells added in 5E Spells.

      There are at least a couple of alternatives that are considerably more complete:

      1. 5e Spells and Homebrew spells - duration and effect changes (pure duration changes)
      2. Valdacil's Spell Adjustments (Vanilla and 5E Spells) (more spells, duration and rebalance changes)

    needs an update, since it stopped working which is unfortunate was a convenient QoL for mages

      Can you please elaborate as to what isn't working about this mod? Depending on updates to the base game/5e spells, specific spells might stop working with this mod while others continue to work normally. It's much more helpful to tell me which spells you're having troubles with, so I don't have to go through the entire spell list every time.

      detect magic has a deration of 100 turns and detect good and evil has a deration of 600 turns. I'm only level 4 but I'll try to keep an eye out for others as I progress

    thank you for this, it's very useful. i sometmes leave the pc on to go do things in another room and if i don't remember to enter turn based mode the turn based effects expire lol. this fixes that problem.

    Can you update this to include summoning spells like Summon Beast?

      I was originally planning on it, but couldn't figure out how to do it since summoning spells work differently from other spells. It's still on my to-do list, but I am also waiting for the improved modding support Larian promised for the near future which should make things easier.

      After a bit of tinkering, I was able to tweak things so all summons (that I found) to have the Long Rest duration.  I could send the file to you if you want to take it apart for what I did so you could incorporate the edits or I could release as a separate file.  Up to you how you'd like to address.

    Can this be uninstalled later mid-save incase 5e updates?

      As far as I know, it should be entirely safe to uninstall mid-save as long as 5e Spells is still enabled.

      Just tried, Holy Weapon still has a duration of 600 turns, so it seems not.

      I just rebuilt the mod to work with the current version of 5e Spells, so Holy Weapon should work properly again!

    Can you please add some more spells to this list?   This is 100% the reason i don't use the 5e spell list, as it actually makes spells I use worse.


    • Barkskin - Changed duration to 600 turns instead of until long rest

    • Daylight - Changed duration to 600 turns instead of until long rest
    • Detect Thoughts - Changed duration to 10 turns instead of until long rest
    • Disguise Self - Changed duration to 600 turns instead of until long rest

    • Enhance Ability - Changed duration to 600 turns instead of until long rest
    • False Life - Changed duration to 600 turns instead of until long rest

    • Magic Weapon - Changed duration to 600 turns instead of until long rest
    • Pass Without Trace - Changed duration to 600 hours instead of until long rest
    • Protection From Energy - Changed duration to 600 turns instead of until long rest
    • Protection From Evil and Good - Changed duration to 100 turns instead of until long rest
    • Protection From Poison - Changed duration to 600 turns instead of until long rest

    • Speak with Animals - Changed duration to 100 turns instead of until long rest
    • Speak with the Dead - Changed duration to 100 turns instead of until long rest

    • Warding Bond - Change duration to 600 turns instead of until long rest

      It looks like the author made those changes to base-game spells into an optional file on their mod, so if you don't have that file then those spells shouldn't be changed.
