I like this mod, I will never play without it. I play on 125% because the regular version makes walking speed ridiculous for NPCs, you can barely catch them while running and clicking them is a hastle. Also doesn't work on Astarion, which means I will never play him. If he's in the party he has to sprint every few seconds to catch up. Still, great mod, those are very minor problems.

That answers my question.  Astarion is the same way in my game with this mod

I downloaded everybody moves fast 200 on the in-game mod manager and it's worked with every character so far except Astarion. I started up a game with him as my main character and I he does move a tiny bit faster than normal but not nearly as fast as other characters. I have the mod in multiple saves and it works with everyone else so far. Have you come across this or do you think there might be a conflict with something else? I don't have anything that should effect the characters themselves.

Based on the results, there is currently no way to change Astarion's movement speed. This is just a guess, but I think the RootTemplate provided for companions (and their prototype races) is rewritten by the in-game engine. As this mod only changes a part of the provided RootTemplate, it is not possible to prevent this rewriting.
Furthermore, there is no way to change the RootTemplate in Osiris script, so it is not possible to rewrite it further.

When I checked the RootTemplate, I found that Lae'zel (Gythyanki) should be in the same situation, but I was able to change her movement speed.

Hey this is a nice time saver, but is it possible that the speed boost could be given only to the player and their party? That would maintain convenience without breaking immersion.

I recommend using the Configurable movement speed - MCM compatible.
As for whether it is possible, the answer is yes, but due to the structure of the data it would require a huge amount of time to investigate and correct, so I don't want to do it.
