@Jayhomebody yeah I am....that's a blast from the past! I do have a version floating around somewhere, I'll just have to check what Skyrim versions it is for and maybe do some converting but yeah I can get it posted sometime soon.
If you’re still taking requests, could you add a small light effect to the cursed shadow lantern version? A red, blue, or violet glow would be more thematic if possible. This is the lantern Gale makes at moonrise with the spell circle. Something small in radius but just enough to make it viable in act 3. The shadow you can summon with it immediately disappears when you have to use a weapon also. So, if your modding skills are able to and the game lets you, a way to keep it summoned after you equip your weapon would be awesome.
You get the buff even if you crunch her as Dark Urge. The problem with the "Pixie's Blessing" is that if you leave the shadowcursed lands, you lose the buff. And if you killed the Pixie, you get no Filigreed Feywild Bell to give you the buff again. So youre stuck with a Moon Lantern. I lost the buff permanently, because I left the shadowlands to do Mountain Pass/Monastery.
Using Cheat Engine it seems impossible to add the Pixie's Blessing. Atleast I didnt find any resources on how to do that. You can spawn the Bell, but it doesnt do anything when used.
Tbf, they do specify in the description that it's for those who "missed out on the pixie buff" due to "taking an evil path" so just releasing the pixie is sort of not an option, at that point.
if you help the drider and let him climb up moonrise tower, the pixie in his lantern dies even if you manage to sneak up there and kill him without triggering the boss fight. So you are stuck with the lantern and its quite annoying when the dumb AI has one npc stuck somewhere.
Not Mod-Related, but Fun Fact: The tower lantern works like a torch, letting me use the light source button to equip/unequip it, whereas the drider lantern (which I got from the harpers later) makes me manually equip it, in a weapon slot. Idk if it's just me.
I hadn't even considered Dark Urge stuff. I didn't get the Drider's Lantern because I thought my Daylight spell would be enough for everything (which the game strongly suggested it would be). I let the convoy simply pass without incident because I didn't know better. Then 5 hours later after exploring all the parts of the Shadowlands that CAN be accessed with just Daylight, as well as a load of stuff in the Last Light Inn, I finally found out that I needed the Moonlantern / Pixie blessing after all... and I'd lose way too much progress to go back and attack the convoy.
This game is absolutely terrible with misinformation and missable stuff.
I'm just glad I was able to tank my way through the darkness to the tower without a total party wipe... only to find out that the Moon Lantern is a crappy club that I've got to wield instead of my staff. I wish there was some sort of backdoor way to get the pixie's blessing instead.
I'd like to see a version added that can grant the pixie blessing. I don't like being a dual wielding solo assassin having a huge light around me with a torch in the off hand.
Hi i don't think you need to edit the base club weapon, pretty sure just putting data "Damage" "1d8" for the quest_glo_moonlantern would work (and less likely to cause issues)
could you make the driders moon lantern cast guiding bolt or moonbeam, that way the moonrise moon lantern is free of consequence but also less useful than the other two lanterns (shadow and pixie)
So after a quick look it does have extra damage as versatile but I boosted the base damage to 1d8 which is the same as when wielded with 2 hands so you don't see a damage boost. Uploading a new version now

in moonrise towers castle. Don't remember where exactly, either on the upper floors or in prison. More likely upstairs.

Or are the damage values in vanilla different? Like 1d8(1d6), or something?
