This mod changes the check from "Is Cantrip of These Types" on the Necklace of Elemental Augmentation to "Did Cantrip Deal Damage of These Types" to correctly match the tooltip.

The Necklace of Elemental Augmentation item tooltip reads "When one of your cantrips deals Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder damage, add your Spellcasting Modifier to the damage dealt".
The item, however, doesn't work like that. It's coded to check if the cantrip type is one of those elements. This is an issue, for example, when trying to add lightning (or other elemental) damage on top of a cantrip that otherwise wouldn't trigger it (the obvious example being Eldritch Blast with Lightning Charges).
This mod changes the check from "Is Cantrip Type" to "Deals Damage of These Types" to correctly match the tooltip.
I have another mod to fix a different item, the Ring of Absolute Force Fix
If you use that mod, download the alternate file. Eldritch Blast (and other cantrips) will get the added Necklace of Elemental Augmentation modifier bonus due to extra Thunder damage (also works with Phalar Aluve and other such sources of elemental damage).
Install with your favorite mod manager.
