    Hi people, this project (like all the other ones is abandoned), won't receive any updates or support. It used to be my brothers acc,
    unfortunately he won't be able to take care of this anymore. Love, live your life people! ❤️

    From what I can tell WeMod changed so any new downloads lock the speed control behind payment and I tried cheat engine and had issues with it...  It looks like something like dnSpy (not linking to it's git page in case that is frowned upon) can modify the dll, but I have no idea what to change to fix this.  Back when this was being updated I think the modder said it was a versioning issue that needed to be updated each time...  Has anyone been successful at using a dll tool to get this mod to work?

      No but I might try again sometime soon as I have picked BG3 back up in my active games played, and I really really miss this mod. Can you send me that link you mentioned to dnSpy if possible?

    Anyone find a fix for mouse issues when using 3rd party speed tools? Using WeMod makes my mouse desync and clicks only register in one spot no matter where my cursor is.

    is there any chance that soon there will be a version of the mod that works with the current version of the game? or maybe someone is able to reproduce a similar tool? I have become so accustomed to using it that now playing without it is not entirely comfortable for me :(

      if we would know how to contect mod makers on this platform we would have dont it. if you know it, feel free to do it.
      if not use "WeMod" to speed up the game.

      cant help any further sadly without spending weeks/months of me getting into BG3 modding.
      i mean read throught the comments here we litterally went on the guys github but he didnt reply for weeks so probably no one will update this mod. (we couldnt even update it by ourselfs if we wanted because we would need the sourceCode - also read the comments below please)

      again if you know how to contact a mod maker/create a post about a mod that many wish for or anything like that, GREAT, please do it! If not, you have to accept that this mod wont be in your playthroughts anymore during the next times. maybe Lion comes back at somepoint but as of right now i am more concered that he is fine because he is not even using his github anymore...

      last thing you can do it hope of course but the last months didnt show any signs of hope.

      i have set the speed up and speed down buttons to mouse buttons and i just spam them whenever i want the games speed to increase. spam it right back down to 0 if i want normal speed. thats my current workarround for the "mod situation" we got since months here. cheers!

      Hello Pyro! I attempted to download WeMod several times for the speed mod. Each time I used the mod, it functioned properly for approximately 5 minutes. However, after that period, my cursor started glitching in-game, and I couldn't execute any hotbar actions or move around. Have you experienced this issue as well? If you have any insights or solutions, could you please assist me?

      hi, i can only talk about myself but no i didnt experience that "behaviour" that you described...

      i normally use it like this:
      speed up the game to somewhere between 3x and 5x using WeMod for some time (for example when running / dialoge / cutscenes).
      atfer that i drop the value in WeMod back to 0 so the speed up is at 1x again (disabling the feature in wemod).

      i once had the speed up feature running for like 10-15min i think when i testing running to nere with a mod enabled, in that situation i dont think i experienced some glitches or anything like that.

      maybe its about how you connect WeMod to Bg3. try starting up Bg3 through the Bg3 mod manager first. load into a save and AFTER that click "play" in WeMod on the Bg3 page so WeMod connects to the game and save you are currently in. maybe it has something to do with you "connecting" WeMod to the game before essential stuff was loaded.

      cant really promise anything. only guessing.
      cheers!

      ehhh no i downloaded it for free i and not useing a subcription. at least i am not seeing -7 bucks each month in my bank accoung. you will see ads in the WeMod client if you dont use a subscription and some features are locked but you can use the speed mod without problem. at least i do ^^

      Not sure what could be causing this then, I just re-installed to take a screen shot but when I hover over 'set game speed' it says 'only for PRO members' and there is no way for me to change the game speed.

      Here is the screen shot:

      idk i am not a weMod pro by any means.
      it looks like this to me: https://ibb.co/nRBgRLc
      i just have it on german.

      i can also still buy the pro version if i wanted to so i dont have it currently. maybe you didnt finish your account creation or didnt varify it idk. but its free for me.

      you also dont have other stuff: https://ibb.co/qMDXyyL
      like all that is missing on your screenshot aswell.

      maybe you need to update weMod, idk. but again its free for me and so far nobody else complained about this so i think its free for other people aswell.

      maybe you play on mac and its diffrent there???

      edit - btw i am still sorry for wrongly accusing you. you didnt spread false imformation. its just diffrent for you for some reason. so sorry for saying that. wasnt aware myself that seemingly weMod is diffrent for users... yet i dont know why.

      Well I was going to contact them for support and found this:

      Why is my mod usage limited?

      • Updated on 13 Feb 2024
      WeMod users are limited to two hours of mod usage per day when using the free
      product, while Pro users have unlimited access to mods.
      This limit only applies to accounts created after February 11, 2024.

      Well obviously there is an issue with this system since I don't even get the 2 hours, also I didn't notice before because I was only looking to use the speed mod but hovering over any of of the cheats says I need PRO.

      Regardless, I think that explains why no one else said they had an issue with WeMod, and kinda funny that I just happened to create my account the day they instituted the limit. It seems like it won't retroactively affect anyone who already has an account, but anyone trying to create a new account might encounter this limit.

      loool, i mean it makes sence for them to do this eventually but okay, seems like WeMod is only an option for users that already had WeMod in that case. thanks for your research.

      unlucky that this happend when you created your account and all... sorry to hear that. hope your other options are fine for you to use aswell : )

      Guys i finally found a trainer that works for the latest game version and its not wemod and so much easier to use, you can set a custom speed and just trigger the keyboard shortcut on and off its awesome!  search gamepressure bg3 trainer on google, the latest one works (8032024).

    A temporary way to speed hack the game using Cheat Engine until the mod is fixed:

    Tutorial (for total cheat engine newbs like me):
    1. Download Cheat Engine here: https://www.gamepressure.com/download.asp?ID=79500
    2. Install Cheat Engine (be careful not to install any of the other bloatware that comes with it)
    3. Download the latest cheat table for bg3 here: https://fearlessrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?t=13996 (not 100% certain if this is necessary but just giving the steps I used)
    4. Double click the bg3.ct file downloaded (this should open the file in Cheat Engine)
    5. launch Baldur's Gate 3 and load your save
    6. in Cheat Engine click file > Open process and select Baldur's Gate 3 and keep the list
    7. Look at the image in the first post here for reference on the next few steps: https://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=480934
    8. Click settings underneath the Cheat Engine logo in the top right corner of Cheat Engine, then select hotkeys from the table on the left
    9. You can play around here but what I did was set Toggle the speedhack to F7 and Speedhack Speed one to F9 with the Speed set to 3.000 and you can change that speed to whatever you want and then press F9 in game to change your speed as necessary and F7 to toggle between your selected speed and normal speed as necessary.

    Press okay and this will immediately work in game. AFAIK you must open run cheat engine this way every time, it does not make any kind of permanent change to your game. Hopefully this helps some people, I've been suffering the last 2 days.

    Edit: credit to faxcon for mentioning the Cheat Engine speedhack

      You don't need the .ct table.
      Just run CE, attach to game exe, and click Enable Speedhack option in CE.
      You can setup hotkeys for different speeds in CE Settings (Edit > Settings > Hotkeys).

      What I do is I set Speedhack to 2.0, and under Hotkeys, I bind "Toggle the speedhack" to my Mouse Button 5.
      Pressing MB5 will now toggle x2 speed on and off. Ofc you can set the speed to any you want.
      But this way I dont have to play with different hotkeys, just 1 mouse key.

      Btw this works with a lot of games (if not all).

      Ofc, I prefer this mod as it is way more granular/modular :) So waiting for update.
      Thank you mod author!

      I have noticed that it seems to speed up the sensitivity of noticing mouse clicks, if I click a little too slow it doesn't move my character but starts to go back to centre on the character like when you click and hold to move. So I have found that I need to click really quickly in order to move or interact with items/objects. This may be what is causing your issue.

      Just thought i would bump this for people looking for a simple guide to get the speed hack working with CE (I haven't played in a couple months and just went back to this guide myself for reference. Everything still works the same, cheat table not required as others have mentioned), since it seems WeMod requires you to pay and I didn't find the scripts Luy222 posted to be ideal for my situation. Hopefully this helps some people.

      you dont have to pay, everything is free, you dont have to buy the "pro subscription" to use BG3 mods of WeMod... so please dont say that.
      dont take it wrongly, additional workarounds are welcome but double comment false info is not that nice tho, so i would kindly ask you to approch spreading info diffrently when you are not sure about the info you privide. like dont include it if you are not sure about it or be clearer, or else its just misleading for some who dont know, in either way have a good day, cheers <3

      we cant as we dont know where we need to update the mod version to the games version. the mod itself works it only the games version which is checked or something and doesnt match the current version, so mod doesnt get loaded.

      So somewhere in the files that comprise the mod, it lists a series of numbers matching the Baldur’s Gate 3 version pattern? If that’s the case, couldn’t you just search for the old version number prior to patch #4 and then replace it with the current version number?

      Maybe it’s not that simple. I don’t know anything about modding but it seems like you do :p But I guess if it was that simple you woulda done it huh

      try edit the mod file with notepad++
      you will see the problem for yourself.

      we would need some mod maker who knows how to edit such files. i would think there is a tool you need to edit the "code" in them.
      edit: i can program stuff myself but i am not into modding. the logs tell us the version in the mod doesnt match the games version so the "mod hook" isnt applied to the game. in the past the mod maker @LionAG123 updated the mod very fastly after BG3 updated. I think this was because he only had to change the version the mod uses to the actuall game version. idk why this is needed for the mod to work but that is what i think so far. doesnt seem to far off for me tbh, BUT again i cant edit the mod files with normal notpad++ as the mod is encoded at least for me. maybe i need another editor to decode it.

      i now even tried editing it with visual studio code and an .net extention for .dll files.
      doesnt even load to show me the content inside the file. not even showing "encoded" code or anything.

      sooo there probably is some tool to edit those files with BG3 Mod Code in them. (my guess)

      edit: i will still try a few more things before i give up.

      sadly i can only access the ressources of the .dll file and not the sourcecode itself. i would probably need either the sorcecode itself to create a new .dll file with the newer version, or there is some way with another programm like a .dll decoder or something to get the sourcecode from the .dll file we have.

      i really dont see a other way but thats only my view on it. sadly the mod maker has no github repository for this mod (to my knowlledge)
      BUT i found a github respository from someone called ThirteenAG (simillar to LionAG), which has a "Issues" tab where you can open support tickets. i opened one now and decribed the situation: https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/issues/78

      maybe he will respond there if that is him. best clue we got now!

      UPADTE:
      i can confirm we would need the sorceCode of the mod to update / recreate it by ourself. sadly we have to wait for the mod maker and as i also checked his last updated mod: which is this one here, it seems like he is gone for now... sadge as this mod was a big time saver!

      OP's GitHub page I think. There are some repos already there for BG1&2 Enhanced Editions, including a Game Speed mod for those as well. He describes modifying the game engine to run at double speed (or X speed, where you set the speed via config file or like in this mod a hotkey such as F9.)
      I tried looking into de-compiling the dll as well with no success. I also attempted to look at editing the Divinity Engine 4 (the engine BG3 runs on) but there's no information or guides on how to actually do this kind of thing.
      I have sent the OP a donation with a message begging him to update the mod or give us access to the source code. We'll see I guess.

      For anyone else who can't live without this functionality: Otis_Inf's photomode tools has an option to increase the game speed with a keybind. It's $6 to sub to their Patreon for access to all of their tools.

      Here's a video overview of the tool. I've been using it as a replacement game speed mod and it works well so far. Every time you wanna play you have to:

      • Launch BG3
      • Launch the tool -> click inject DLL
      • Under "Image adjustments" turn on game speed and drag the slider to e.g. 2.0 for 2x speed
      • You can now use the keybind ingame to toggle the speed

      Step 3 has to be repeated because the tool defaults the game speed value to zero when launched.

      I got desperate and tested it out using WeMod.
      Disregard WeMod's warning of "Launch BG3 through steam", because I launched BG3 through BG3 Mod Manager and it worked out perfectly.
      WeMod has game speed, I tested it out and while it's a big wonky, it has potential.

      i will probably try that too.

      you probably need to start bg3 through the mod manager and than start wemod and connect to the game which already runs through the bg3 mod manager. but idk i will just try it.

      thats wont change the situation. read the comments here, find out if a workarround solution provided by the community is useable for you.
      if not, try forget about it or contact a mod maker you know by yourself and try to convince him to redo this mod
      if there is a workarround thats fine with you, use it and try to forget this mod...

      its sad but it doesnt seem like lion will come back any time soon (his github has no activity aswell, which isnt a good indication)

      sure sadly you cant change your speed while you play as it seems to me. also it only speeds up
      1. Only works on players;
      2. Origins: Astarin, Gale, Laezel, Karlach, Shadowheart, Wyll(He has something special, see the notes below), DarkUrge, Tav(custom character);
      3. Companions: Minthara, Halsin, Jeheira, Minsc;
      4. Hireing character by Jaeger;
      5. Druid WildShape, darkUrge Slayer form, players DisplacerBeast form;
      6. pets: Scratch, Shovel, Boo;
      as i understood it so the game wont actually get speed up and no enemies in fights will get speed up. at least i understand it like that.
      with weMod you can change the games speed while playing which this mod "speed mod" already did, which was the nice QoL feature + it speeds up enemies in fights aswell.

      still thanks, if i didnt notice that your shared mod also allows for those features, please correct me. cheers.
