Thanks! Skills are available on a higher tier of weapons (see images). You need to upgrade the weapon you chose with an upgrade item (see mod description "how to get"), then just equip the weapon and skills will show up (note: they are only available while you wield the weapon).

I started a new play through yesterday, the sword that’s found on the beach when we get off the nautiloid, I believe bugs Shadowheart out. When I found her, she was standing up. Though interacting with her is normal.
The sword was exactly where she was and I couldn’t interact with it till Shadowheart moved.
I updated my file shortly after you uploaded your newest version. Granted that was after I logged out for the day. I don't have a screenshot of her standing; I grabbed one during the cutscene as the sword is clearly visible. (hope this works) after work today I will start a new game with the new version and see if it is still on going.

After further testing, I'm pretty sure it's this mod. I removed that one and didn't update yours, and SH now functions properly after the nautiloid. This change is the only thing I did, so I apologize for my earlier statement thinking it was yours. I've had the other mod for a bit, just not at the start of a run.
Just right click on Sun Coin, then Combine and put the weapon you want to upgrade to the slot in the opened window (it works like when you are dyeing something) and that's all :)

Good to hear it works on patch 6 :) I agree about sword position on the back, but sadly there is only one dimensional option for weapon, so if I pull it up - another pose will be weird, like whole hand will be "inside" the blade/guard (and another pose on another races will be even weirder). So all the blame to this beautiful big Guard :D I've tried many dimensional position and this is the best outcome for every races and their poses.

I can't reproduce this, my Shadowheart is alright and the sword is little far from her (screenshot), what patch are you on?

consider maybe [optional?] scimitars or rapiers?
