So here's the issue I'm having: I added the camp chest, the cheat, and almost all of the classes in one go. worked beautifully, the things I chose to install showed up in the camp chest.
I realized I forgot barbarian and wizard, and while they installed via mod manager, and the pop up came up in bg3 that new mods were installed, the two chests haven't shown up. I've rebooted, long rested, short rested, done an irish jig, and made offerings to various gods and alas, I haven't been able to summon forth the wiz and barbarian chests.
Unfortunately it seems like you aren't able to add more equipment mods mid-playthrough. How this mod works - When starting a new game, it runs a script, which only occurs once because the Camp Chest only spawns once. So you need all equipment mods installed when you start your game.
returning with a workaround! I rolled back to my save prior to installing the mods, and everything loaded up as it should! this could, in theory, work for anyone else who didnt install all the mods in one go.
Could you temporarily add the items back to the tutorial chest, at least for those of us on console? Or is there an alternative way that you can make the items available from the start. I was very excited to try the warlock mod, but would much prefer to have the items available from the start. There are a bunch of us on Reddit asking for an alternative.
Sorry, doesn't work like that. Larian would have to approve the update or mod for the change to occur so not worth the effort and I was getting several complains daily about how having the items through the tutorial chest was causing corrupt saves which is why it was removed.
Using any mod always runs the risk of damaging the save. In its current state the mod can’t be used to its fullest ability on console. The unintended downgrade is quite unfortunate. Hopefully, they approve this partner mod soon. Thanks for responding.
Agreed. I don’t bother playing with this mod now, given most downloading it are doing so with the intent to “cheat” from jump, and are currently unable to do so on console. I hope it gets approved for console soon so I can resubscribe to it, because it truly is an amazing mod, but a significant downgrade in this current state. Any idea how long it would take to get approved, anyone?
By the way, on console it happens that you already have everything in your inventory before you find the stuff, no idea why that is, maybe you need an update for patch 8 on console. PS5
Normally, you find things in the game, and you don't have everything in your inventory?? I have to say, though, that I loaded the mod midway through Act 1. Is it possible that it will run normally in Acts 2 and 3?
Unfortunately, when I first started the game after patch 8, I had all the nice items in my inventory. However, I think there are more, hence my assumption that they're only Act 1 items.Don't forget we're talking about consoles, more specifically PS5 If you go to mod.io, it says under their mods that an update was made on Windows a few days ago, but the last update on console was 100 days ago. How does that work there? Does it take so long for Larian to update the console version? If so, does the Windows version automatically update the console version?
And once again, thank you so much for your work. I really hope there will be a German translation one day. It's strange that a game can crash because of the translation. Well, what am I supposed to know as a layman? :-) Thanks again.
Hello ! sorry to bother... I installed (long ago) the ranger and druid equipment mods. I made a new save for patch 8, saw that the mods needed this one now to have the stuff pop in the camp chest. So I downloaded it. Launched the game, did the tutorial. Before I went to the camp the first time, I decided to download all the other classes. Went to the camp for the first time, went to the camp chest and... there is only the ranger and druid chests, not the other ones. They are abled in the mod manager. I can't figure out why they wouldn't pop. Tried to leave and go back to the camp or have a long rest, but no... Do you have any idea ?
The items in the camp chest are loaded upon starting a new game, this is because you are able to access the camp chest via hotbar - Image. I'm unsure if you are able to add this mod mid-playthrough because of this, I think that once the mod is installed, you are unable to add more of my equipment mods unless you start a new game.
Hi, sorry for the trouble, need your assistance with an issue I am currently facing with your mods. After re-enabling the mods such as the fade camp chest mod and equipment mods for the different classes, the items doesn't spawn back anymore in my camp chests but i still see the FED ration pack reappearing in the traders though?
The items only spawn once in the camp chest, so if you've already taken the backpack from the camp chest, it won't respawn even if you re-install the mod. I've had 1 individual state that the chest don't spawn if you add the mod mid-playthrough but I haven't tested this myself.
Hey I'm sorry to ask, but I don't really understand why you removed the equipments from the tutorial chest ? Sure, it makes it more realistic, but I think that if we search for this mod, we want to cheat, so why downplay it, you know ? It was much more convenient, and for multiclassing, it made things way easier since I could just spawn the tutorial chest with another mod and have a new set. Could you consider making a new mod or re add this feature to this one, pretty please, it was so cool ?
It's because it was causing several players who use the tutorial chest a corrupt save game. I was tired of having reports about it. I won't be re-adding this.
So I've added your equipment mods midway through Act I on a save I had, and I also have the Equipment Distrubtion mod as well. Within that, it says in your description that equipment won't be added to areas I have already been to in that save.
So I'm wondering, if I add this mod, does it then break further Equipment Distribution for areas that I have NOT been to yet? Will they still be distributed as you intended, even if I add this mod?
I'm only looking at this Camp Chest mod to try and get the items that I will have missed from Act I, by adding your other equipment mods midway through this save.
Is this doable? Or will adding this Camp Chest mod erase all the Equipment Distribution, even for areas that I have NOT been to yet?
Did you make certain items only equip-able for certain classes for balance or is there some code reason they cant work with other classes? If its just a balance reason is there any semi-simple way to remove those restrictions?
This is intended. You can put 1 level into the class required and you are able to equip the item. Otherwise you would have to removed the condition on the item by unpacking the mod.
What is the difference between items with "Tut_" infront vs ones without the Tut_? Are the Tut ones just ones that are in the tutorial chest? Also thank you so much for your advice, I've had fun messing around with several mods via unpacking them.
It's not a plan of mine currently. After I create the all in one version of FED, I will be making a Weapons and Armor pack that adds some subclass specific items and taking commissions. But it's possible I could create some later.
From what I've tested, Load order doesn't matter. I've placed it above all item mods I have and I've placed it between FED and my equipment mods, and it's worked both times.

thank you for making something amazing!
