This is a really cool mod, and I hope you don't get discouraged that it didn't get a ton of traction - people are in the middle of trying to fix their load orders lol. Really well made and fun, I just wanted to encourage you to make more. Randomness influences which mods hit the hot list but if your stuff is good, people find it!
BTW, if you did want to provide some game placement of these items (whether it makes sense or not, users like going to look for stuff!), you could take a look at Siael's Phalar Aluve/Moonsong mod - he wrote little pieces of a very short story and put them on the weapons, placed them all in pretty straightforward containers along the main quest. You wouldn't have to get that involved (or listen to any of this lmao), but the mod provided its own logic for why the pieces were scattered through Act 1.
Thanks again! That multiattack capstone is such a power fantasy, I love it
Thanks! I will take a look at somewhere to stick items when I get a chance. Generally I just make loadouts I want to use and then throw them up on here, so it is not a big deal how many or how few people end up using it.
I suppose it is possible. Just unsure of what the benefit would be. The items I make do not really have any tie-ins with the story of the game so it would just be arbitrary allocation of the loot to locations/enemies. Also the items do not really function much unless they are equipped together. Feel free to change my mind though
I dislike power spiking early in the game. It adds a lot of fun taking down boss enemies, and then being rewarded powerful weapons and armour though. Maybe various Drow in Act one could have the weapons, various enemies in act 2 (e.g. Avatar of Myrkul, or Kethric). Hell, you could have some of the pieces involved with the various Githyanki story lines (perhaps artefacts that they have plundered). Could be treasure buried in locations, or add a custom boss/mini-boss which drops it. Maybe one of the weapons are forged in the adamantine forge area.
There are plenty of good opportunities for story telling to enhance the mod :D
+1 The set looks dope but I wouldn't wanna come straight out the gate with a full set of legendary equipment. Would love to go through and pick it up as I go, even if the set didn't come online until the end of act 2 or beginning of act 3
