Certainly not this mod's fault. It literally only changes one flag from a status. It doesn't even touch the actual spell. And yes I tested it and it works fine and I still get the spell.
I just started a new character as WL Hexblade, because it has massive damage, and I let my Sorcerer Elf aside (still in early game), and I just realized it's a bug 😂 Could you please explain more for a beginner (First Time Turn Based Player) why I should use the mod, and not exploit the bug?
Because your experience with the game will be terrible and unbalanced? If you don't care about ever having fun in the game, you can just download a cheat mod that makes you invincible and oneshot everything, instead of exploiting a bug?
That would be for the better, yes. Other than that, the more hardcore thing you could do is to get your character killed to force the character to lose all temporary statuses, but that may not be necessary.
As bg3 wiki(Shadow Blade - bg3.wik) said: The damage bonus from upcasting is lost(when bugs, 3d8 or 4d8 damage will back to original 2d8, you can see its description changes) whenever a condition is removed from the Shadow Blade. This can happen when a coating expires or if a buff ends(like Elemental Weapon). For my game, it happens when: 1. Coating expires(like Venomous Revenge); 2.Buff on shadow blade ends(like Magic Weapon,Elemental Age,Draconic Elemental Weapon), most spells(give Shadow blade +1 bonus) will tragger the bug, and I guessDivine Favour,Sacred Weapon(Paladin) will also tragger when buff ends; 3.Even Dip(wtf~) That's all I can think of~~~I hope it will be of some help to you.
Great mod, It works like a charm! btw I wanted to ask in your opinion as a modder would it be possible to seperate the bind hex weapon and bind pact weapon features? because bind hex weapon currently overrides the bind pact weapon and I would very much so like to dual wield.
This is not relevant to this mod but would you mind take a look on Nyrulna explosion to not hurt allies or neutral characters? I tried excluding ally and add "and Enemy()), both doesn't work.
It's making it way too strong, making a special effect that should only trigger 20% of the time when hitting an enemy increasingly more likely to trigger permanently each time you cast the Bind Hexed Weapon skill for the rest of a playthrough.
You got too remember, it is a pretty huge game after all with far too many aspects and given how extremely detailed this game is for any one person or group of people too stamp out all the bugs which is impossible too do. You can never truly get rid of all bugs in a game, only reduce it too as few and minimum amount as possible.
The amount of content added, for how long they were developing and testing this, does not add up. The subclasses are not creative enterprises they came up with, they were already existing material that MODDERS have had in the game shortly after release.
The reality is that they spent 6 months trying to figure out crossplay. Which is super cool but literally only affects the people with mixed friend groups or families that want to play together.
This is the kind of bug that should have been found almost immediately by the devs and it's actually a bit embarrassing that they release the patch with a bunch of "finality" and something as simple as this is picked up instantly.
Don't cope for the developers. It's actually their job to do this. You can make claims about how detailed the game is but this is a basic mechanic and one of the few things actually new to the patch. It's not like it's a complicated string of events that leads to a bug in the final fight, this is rudimentary as hell and should have been detected by developer tools easily.
Whoa. Huge bug. I didn’t know it triggers passively until it happened since the tooltips don’t mention it, but persistent stacking is broken in the literal sense. Thanks for the fix!
Emmmm,I hear someone say that there's a developer who loves to play Hexbalde, and he makes the pact of the blade can be used to Free Purchase.I don't know whether it's true but I was amused by this view
