Hey! love this reshade, but is there a way I can tone down the blur a bit? sometimes in the cutscenes it blurs even the characters i'm interacting with. Other than that love this reshade
But I think the default BG3 DoF and the ambient occlusion are conflicting and got artifacts. While qUINT DoF hides that issue roughly. So I'm often torn between toggling qUINT on and off. The others mentioned qUINTs' downsides, e.g. if a piece of armour is too close to the centre of the camera the DoF hides the whole conversation or flickers on and off.
Here's a minor example of the mentioned artifacts.
Hi thanks for the awesome reshade. This is definitely the thing my game was missing to add the last bit of immersion. Question though what head is that in the first three images I'm just curious to know before I start my next play through.
I was looking for that head too and unfortunately the mod has been taken down and redirected towards another one that does not appear to have the head.
In case you ever want to download a mod which has been removed in the future:
Go to WayBack Machine, input the link of the taken down mod. Go to the last snapshop where it was available. Go to Files. Hover over the download button. On the bottom left of your browser the link should appear. Look for id=______ and game_id=______
Interesting preset. I'm used to your Pure preset and am torn between them now. I've just arrived in Rivington and in my first impression "True" got more realistic lighting in that region, but might be a bit too yellow and too bright indoors? While "Pure" looks a bit bluish there and slightly too grim for the most realistic lighting, bit I like the indoors shot. Might be misleading, based on this scenes: True outdoor, Pure outdoor True indoor, Pure indoor I wonder if it'd make sense to use slightly modified presets for each act? At least Bethesda got the issue that every region / interior got different lighting, but I haven't got the sensitiveness for BG3 yet to judge it.
Anyway, if I'd restart BG3, then I'd take this one for a good playthrough and your Pure preset for a more chaotic one.
This is really good feedback, thanks. I'll have a look at the colour grading now. I'm also considering adding additional soft AO in along with the MXAO already there but it will for sure hit the performance.
How do you feel about the shadows right now? Currently I feel like the HDR effect is a bit too strong but it does look nice in screenshots.
Hey, had a break yesterday and will need to keep playing with 0.02 for a bit longer. I'm still not used to the sudden bright yellow of Rivington which imitates Italy or France. I've made a bunch of comparison screenshots and will have a look at them tomorrow.
In case anyone gets bad lighting and effects (Too bright/Too blue/crispy, etc.), turn off Windows HDR. Alternatively, if your monitor has built in HDR, that works instead of Windows HDR.
Thanks for making this pack, it looks rad! When updating to version 0.0.2, will I need to repeat some of the steps shown in the tutorial video you linked? (like fixing the depth and changing UI Masker settings) I assume so, as I figure it treats the 0.0.2 preset as a separate preset, but figured I'd double check.
No, if you have done the setup steps before then you just need to select the new ini file. With the exception maybe of installing an additional shader (this can be done by re-installing reshade but just clicking the add new shaders button instead of a full reinstall).
You will not need to reconfigure the depth or the addon to stop the preset messing with the UI if you have done that before.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions as to how this ReShade preset could be improved.

I recommend using Reshade UI Masker by dmc99
The video on the main page goes through how to install and set this up if you are having trouble.
Once that is done it shouldn't mess with the UI elements at all, here's me toggling the preset on and off ->
