I have and Acer Swift 3 with AMD hardware. There's no nvngx_dlss.dll in my game folder anywhere and no matter what I do I can't get this to work. If someone would enlighten me and tell me where to paste the files to enable this, I would highly appreciate it. I pasted it in the bin folder and ran it and there is no dlss option in the menu.
I have almost the same performance with official FSR 2.2 and this mod - official is about 1 FPS slower on Quality setting and looks more pixelated (less antialiased), but both are similar (Radeon RX 580 8GB).
Installing with Vortex: Started game in Vulcan. No DLSS option
Manually Installed: Started game in Vulcan, I see the DLSS option and it works. Set to Quality mode It looks great and even comes with AA However framerate is half of what it was with native FSR1.0, Ultra Quality, DX11. 60fps to 33fps in 4K
Slightly better quality for half the FPS is not worth it for me.
Hi, From what I'm reading FSR2 has been apparently added to the game with PATCH 4. If you installed all games version over the initial release try to locate within the "Baldurs Gate 3\Data" folder any *patch*.pak file and after having made a backup delete all *patch*.pak found.
Hi, Unfortunately I have no idea. Certain version of vulcan might not properly work and there could be bugs in either the CyberFSR2 or the FSR2 version used.
You can try to backup and delete the graphicsSettings file from %localappdata% | Larian Studios | Baldur's Gate 3 folder and set the DISPLAY MODE to WINDOWED before changing the DLSS mode\preset.
If you mean there some frame drop by entering the dialogue option with a NPC I'm also getting some in either DX11 and VULCAN without FSR2 from the HDD. If you untick the vsync you will likely notice the frame drop is static. The 1080TI drop around 20 FPS for few seconds and then goes back to the previous value within the dialog.
I have no idea, you could try to install the Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition to see if something change. With FSR2 In my current location the 1080Ti give around 90 FPS without vsync and by entering the NPC dialog there a 20 FPS drop for 1-2 seconds. With vsync enabled the FPS is 60 and again by entering the NPC dialog the FPS drop is 20 FPS for 1-2 seconds. Happen in either DX11 or VULKAN, with or without the FSR2 and CyberFSR2 files presence. The driver I'm using incorporate the VULKAN version 1.2.198. Also, in the same folder %localappdata% | Larian Studios | Baldur's Gate 3 there a "LevelCache" folder try to backup and delete?
I played BG3 (with patch 3) for about 10 hours with this mod and it works great on Radeon RX 580. So far I didn't notice any major issues or crashes (once or twice it happened that some textures started blinking, but restarting the game fixed that). It looks much better than FSR1 and it runs much smoother than without FSR (I got 33 fps without FSR in the starting location and around 50 fps with this mod in "DLSS Quality" mode). I was originally hoping that Patch 3 will bring built-in FSR2 option, but unfortunately not...
Hi, This version (406) feature some unintended option set by default. In case of flashy things locate within the "nvngx.ini" the [Hotfix] line and next the "DisableReactiveMask" change the parameter from false to true. Thank you.
Thanks, but it was not needed. The game run many more hours without any major glitches since then. Previously the blinking was probably caused by unstable GPU overclock :-)
The mod is working perfectly in singleplayer, but whenever i try to play in coop with controllers, the second half of the screen (2nd pov) is full of glitches, only can see the ui.

Hi, The mod is not supported in the multiplayer. If you plan to use the online multiplayer part Run/double-click DisableSignatureOverride.reg and confirm the merge before playing.
Hi, this is definitely a visual improvement. So thanks.
I just wanted to confirm what is probably a stupid question. If I set the dlss (now fsr2) to quality, it will multiply the resolution set in game by 1.5? So if I set 1440p in the game settings, I get a 4k output?
Or does use a lower input resolution (960p) to output the 1440p I set in game settings?
Hi, The upscaling of FSR2 uses the render resolution set via the preset to present an output defined by the application. To use 4K upcaled with FSR2 from the ratio defined by the preset you need to select the 4K display resolution from the application.

Same settings.
Native 25-30 fps.
FSR1 + TAA ~50 fps.
This mod on Quality 45-60 fps.
Official FSR 2.2 - 15fps no matter which quality setting I choose.
Incredible job, Larian.

Give it a try to PATCH 4, it might properly work.
