Hi! I'm having a bit of an issue installing this mod. I found it after I completed the quest, so I went back on a save and redid the quest. I'm not sure if the script extender is outdated or not, but it's not working :(. I redid the quest 3 times now and idk what I'm doing wrong. Please help <3 I'm also suddenly getting an error message every time I load up the game, something about not having a save, but then the game works fine. For context. I use vortex.
Oh no! Normally, a window pops up when I boot up the game telling me that the script extender is starting. I'd try to reinstall the script extender with consoleand see if that helps.
If you get the window, you won't need my mod: you can load you save and use this console command:
Hello there, just to make sure I got this correctly.
I'm 99% sure the 2nd main file includes the Bhaalist armour Piece and the rest of Abazigal's stash, is that right ? (figured there's no harm asking before installing)
Also has anyone tested this post Patch 6 ? (from a first glace I don't see how the patches would affect it but I've often found myself surprised xD)
I'm pretty sure that it includes the armour too, but truth be told it's been a while since I've looked at the mod (and I don't have it easy to access right now, sorry😅)
Haven't tested it yet for patch 6, either, but a different user said that another mod of mine that works similarly (for the infernal robes) worked - I don't see why this one wouldn't work either!
I can confirm that only downloading the second file includes the armor, and also the rest of the gear! Just worked for me last week. (I was pre-patch 6.)
Thank you people for your timely responses :D (for some reason I can never find reply notifications on the nexus) I'm eager to give this mod a whirl. May just take the author's advice and shoot Valeria after killing Sarevok cuz GODS that creature is an embodiment of annoyance.
This was my first time installing a mod. I haven't downloaded Patch 4. So I finally got everything working properly. Inputted the command in Script Extender to give Bhaalist Armor. I put it on.... and then a minute or so later it gives me Dream Visitor voice over from Moonrise, about Ketheric being invulnerable. But I'm standing in the middle of Szarr Palace!! I'm now concerned that I might have bugged out my save somehow. Like I can't keep playing on this save if the game is going to get wonky at some critical moment of the story and give me the wrong dialogue or something.
Nice job getting your mods installed (and thank you for picking mine!)
Truth be told, I've never seen this bug (with dream visitor dialog from a previous act), nor do I see how adding an item to your inventory would trigger it - I've not had that happen on any of my playthroughs (and I added a lot of items), nor have I heard any other reports of that kind from any of the other users here. I don't think a wonky dialog trigger should have any effect on the rest of your playthrough regardless.
I think it's an unfortunate first experience with modding to get a scary bug to show up immediately, I think it'll be fine if you keep playing.
That said, the option to reload a save before you used the console command is open to you if you're still worried. I hope the rest of your playthrough goes smoothly!
Hi there! Can you try uninstalling the mod and reinstalling just "Abazigal items"? I tried to load my save and I got all of the items as intended - I do not know what exactly is going wrong with your save - it sounds like you have script extender installed, but the wrong script is being fired.
If that doesn't work and you've got an otherwise vanilla game, can you put your savefile in a google drive or something and send it to me?
You can find it at:
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public\Savegames\Story\ (pick the folder just before the event)
I'll try to use your save to figure out what's going wrong 😅
Would it be possible to expand the mod to all bhaalist gear that is only accessible to Unholy assassin such as : https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Craterflesh_Gloves
Hi there, I'm uploading a version with these items included: Bhaalist Gloves, Assassin of Bhaal Cowl, Craterflesh Gloves, Fleshrender, Vicious Shortbow and Battleaxe.
First of all thank you for the mod - really didn't feel like taking an explicitly evil path just to unlock a vendor. On another note, how feasible would it be to remove the "fleeing" effect that is applied to NPCs while you wear the armor? It kinda makes you feel like you just smell like crap when you walk around
Hmmm - it could be possible. https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/918?tab=description exists for summons and druid forms - that mod works by altering what's considered to be a crime - I'd guess that applying a debuff is considered to be a crime that causes people to run away, and that there's some way to disable that - but I can't promise or figure anything out at the moment, sorry 🙁
could you give a short tutorial on how to use the SE to fire off and give rewards for quests?
keep trying to find ways to give players ethel's hair without taking her deal but i keep failing
tried creating a blank version of it that could be combined with items to create one of the boost-granting consumables but i kept failing to add it to her treasuretable and to make the itemcombo work
considered making the 'happy' version of it fire off the reward screen we get from taking her deal but no idea where to start for that
would your method allow for one of those quest reward screens where you can choose a specific reward instead of just giving a single specific one?
RIght now I have no time to write up a full tutorial, but if you already have the basic stuff installed like the Converter Tool, you can unpack my mod for a basic file structure that you can change yourself. Includes a metadata file (author name - change this unless you want me there lol, mod name, folder name etc), script loader folder etc.
My method just drops it into the player's inventory, but there's probably a different call you can make to open up the specific reward menu.
Good luck! If you have any more questions, ask and I'll try to be more specific 😀
if i cant figure out how to call for the quest reward screen i'd settle for just making 6 versions of the mod and letting people choose whichever they want
now the question is, where to find the entry for the Save Mayrina quest(was in it roottemplates?)... and how to make sure the script doesnt run if completing it in a way that already rewards the ethel hair(that is, prevent doubled hair)
Hey there, to find the Mayrina quest, try this code: Ext.Osiris.RegisterListener("QuestClosed", 1, "after", function (quest) _P(string.format("quest end %s ", quest)) end)
I'm not sure if there's an easy way to get the script to not fire if the player already has the hag hair , sorry :( My other stuff relied on once per playthrough triggers, like certain cutscenes. You've got a much trickier problem.
To input the command, you need to download the version of the script extender with console. Once in game, press enter and then paste in the console command.

Osi.TemplateAddTo("443b2caf-8d36-42cf-b389-d774229ed18c", GetHostCharacter(), 1, 1)
to give your current character the item. Hope this helps! (I don't use Vortex, sorry... I've never seen that error message!)

Just only get Armour. what is this problem?

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Adding both will result in the first file overwriting the second.

thank you for the reply also!
Ext.Osiris.RegisterListener("QuestClosed", 1, "after", function (quest)
_P(string.format("quest end %s ", quest))
end)
Gives you the quest id after a quest finishes.
Alternatively, I packed it up for you here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_D6oBjYqONEvtWKrW3McOIjn4CKx_E57/view?usp=sharing
I tried looking for a way to call the quest rewards screen by rescuing Florrick from the fire in act 1 and looking through the logs but I couldn't find anything useful :/

Good luck with getting your stuff to work!

Huge thanks for the mod! It was frustrating that some of the really good rogue pieces were locked behind Evil playthroughs.
