    Script Extender v9 is now updated for Patch 4. You're safe to update now.

    Modders can now use our API directly from their mod, allowing them to benefit from the SCF's features without having to make a Pull Request.

    They can also use Configuration files as an alternative to using the API.

    Compatibility Framework 2.6.1+ has a breaking change for mods that call the API directly. individual mod authors will need to either switch to the Config loader method, or change their API call to happen on `StatsLoaded` instead of on `SessionLoaded`. I try to keep changes like this rare, but this one's unavoidable unfortunately

    When reporting errors, I need two things:

    1. Any errors (Red text) that appear in the Script Extender Log
    2. A Screenshot of your load order.

    If you downloaded SE from Nexus, delete it and grab it from Norbyte's Github.

    Sending me this will speed up the troubleshooting process significantly.

    An optional file has been added: Load Order Agnostic - Experimental
    This is an untested experimental build with a few minor tweaks, most importantly is the ability to place Compatibility Framework anywhere in your load order (as long as it's after Community Library, of course.

    It's a minor adjustment, code-wise, but I have not been able to test it, so YMMV. Let me know if it works, and it'll be rolled into the main files.

    Shout out to Laughing Leader for the advice (given almost a year ago) on how to do this

    Using new version makes sum of the new classes disappear and sum of my modded subclasses disappear,goin back to previousturns everything back to normal.

      How did you get the modded subclasses to show up? Ive tried deleting and downloading different versions and still not show up.

      Just make sure ur load order is right and am using main file of CF (Not Load Order Agnostic - Experimental version)

    Compatibility Framework should load at the bottom of your load order.

    Sorry for this stupidest of questions, but please can anybody explain what "bottom of the load order" means? 
    Does it mean the mod is loaded very early (before other mods) or does it mean it loads late (after the other mods)?

      bottom of load order is referring to where it's placed in the mod manager (at the bottom)

    I have a new character in the "origin section" below. "Not found" character. When choosing this character game stutters. Not playable. Maybe it is  "Load Order Agnostic - Experimental" or "CommunityLibrary".

      Just confirming whether or not mods that rely on Compatibility Framework work correctly regardless of CF's location in the load order (so, for example, if Compatibility Framework were loaded higher than a mod adding a subclass via the framework)

      Will look into it, but this is likely caused by one of the subclass mods you have installed - the framework is more of a structure to allow data such as subclasses to be automatically injected into the game, and doesn't touch subclasses itself.

      I used this and can confirm that it does work. Load order, have it above Compatibility Framework. May have different results for everyone, but was able to work for me.

      When you rearranged the load order and everything, did the new, official subclasses also show up in the game for you or *just* modded subclasses? Right now, despite trying my best and following the guides the wonder Mod Authors and users have provided, the new subclasses aren't showing up for my game.

    Anyone else using Valdacil's 5e spell adjustments, this mod, and spell slots x2 & Feat every level mod? Valdacil lists the compatibility framework as the mod that allows multiple mods that alter level progression to work at the same time.

    Though if I place the spell slots x2 & feat every level mod above Valdacil's 5e spell adjustments, wizards don't get a feat every level but they do get the ritual spells added. If I place Valdacil's above spell slots x2 & feat every level, I get a feat every level but no ritual spells.

    Is there something I'm doing wrong that's not allowing these 2 mods to both work with the compatibility framework? Or are they simply not compatible without a custom patch?

    I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but if anyone has any insight at all I'd appreciate it. I'm new to modding so I'm just trying to learn.

      Allowing something to work together isn't the same as making it work together.
      Not an expert on BG3's mods, but avoiding modification conflicts is generally done by enabling dynamic modification on the "framework" side of things and then actually doing the modification dynamically on the modification's side of things.
      You'd need at least one mod (if not both) to modify things dynamically to avoid any kind of conflict.
      Try looking for a different mod toeither change the spell slots progression or the feats progression.
      Expansion seems to be pretty darn dynamic, and it has an option to modify feat's progression. So maybe try that instead of your feat mod?
      If that works then, if undesired, you can disable expansion's other features.
      Also, IIRC more spell choices seems similarly fluid and can be set up to give you more spell slots without changing anything else.
      Consider installing both of those + a cheat mod that lets you level up and use a new game to see if the two will work together in the way you want them to (namely - if you get both extra feats and more spells slots while levelling a wizard) if they do then the rest is a matter of configuring them. But don't forget to read their instructions. For example Expansion will need you to relaunch BG3 for any configuration changes to work, and I think that so will MSC.

    Have a question. Most likely not from this mod but my chacaters now all have martial mastery for the martial classes and spellpower mastey for the magical classes. Does anyone know what mod that is from so I can go in there and remove as oppose to removing the mod?

    For reference, I also posted this comment over on the mod page for the subclass that seems to have an issue, as I'm not sure if it's this mod, the subclass, or possibly even something with the BG3 Mod Manager by LaughingLeader.

    When I have this mod installed, no matter what I do, CF will jump from the very bottom of my load order to just above the Shadow Wizard Subclass by paczekklaudia. When I hover over their mod in the MM, it shows that CF is a dependency for their mod to work, and I wonder if that has something to do with it. After I unistalled that mod though, CF stayed at the bottom of my Load Order like it's supposed to.

    Like I said, I dunno what exactly is causing the issue, I'm not an experienced BG3 mod author by any means, but I figured I'd pop this here in case anyone else seems to have this issue. Kudos goes out to you for the time and effort you've put into this Framework tho because I definitely do not have this kind of ambition!

      That's what my suspicion was when I finally narrowed it down that it kept jumping back to the same spot above that specific subclass (I don't even wanna admit how long it took me to figure it out, my brain is soup). It's good to know if I ever end up having issues like this again so I can let the mod author know. Thanks for the confirmation!

    hey question, when it says to input your class description UUID, is it the UUID for the class description or the UUID in ProgressionTableUUID? I'm unsure because ProgressionTableUUID is used for everything else but the class description UUID is seemingly what it's asking for
