Hey so the infinite alchemy ingredients mod recommends this one, but I don't want infinite **everything** I just dont want to vendor scum for 7 hours to get all the bloodlust elixirs i need for a playthrough, is there some kind of middle ground?
Hello, and I'm so sorry for the late reply. It may be better to ask the modder for an infinite version of that mod, since I'd likely need permission if I'd do it.
Hi, and thank you so much for all of your hard work! I love your mods!!
I'm still kind of new to modding, but I keep receiving the following errors in MCM: [Mod Configuration Menu][WARN][C]: Mod 'Infinite Secret Scrolls' requires 'SecretScrollsExtended' version 5.0.0.3 or higher, but loaded version is 5.0.0.1 Please update SecretScrollsExtended.
[Mod Configuration Menu][WARN][C]: Mod 'Infinite Secret Scrolls for 5e Spells' requires 'SecretScrollsExtended' version 2.0.0.10 or higher, but loaded version is 2.0.0.0 Please update SecretScrollsExtended.
If I'm understanding correctly, this is a warning, but the problem is the referenced versions that are 'required' don't seem to exist. The versions I have are the latest ones available on the author's pages. How can I resolve this error/warning?
That's a mistake on my part in the modsettings. It's been a while since I tested, but I'm pretty sure it's safe to ignore.
Do let me know you're having issue because of it, though, and I'll look into it when I can :) Thank you for the nice comment, and I'm glad you like my mods <3
I tried to install this mod three times, but none of them worked.
First attempt via the in-game mod manager: "Infinite Scrolls" and "Infinite Alchemy Components" (installed and activated). When that didn't work, I deactivated and uninstalled again. Attempt number 2 was to download it here via Nexus using the BG2 Mod Manager (BG Mod Manager is in the latest version). This didn't make any difference either, although it did with "active mods". To test it, I also deactivated all other mods that could even remotely manipulate spells in the game. When that didn't work either, I tried the manual download (manual installation) via this website (Nexus).
What surprises me: All the other mods work perfectly.
Now my - perhaps a bit stupid - question: How do I know that the mods (alchemy components or scrolls) work? In the mod images, all of them are (already) in the inventory, and in the example image, not even for a wizard or sorcerer and already at level 2.Is it possible that not all alchemy ingredients or scrolls are in the inventory when the game starts, but are only added later? And if so, from when?
I understood the mod to mean that you have all of the game's scrolls in your inventory in 20 pieces from the start of the game? I assumed the same thing about the alchemy ingredients. Can someone please help me?Both mods ("Infinite Alchemy Components" and "Infinite Scrolls") are properly shown as active mods in the BG3 Mod Manger as well as "activated" in the in-game mod manager.
When I start a new game, I don't see scrolls or alchemy ingredients in the inventory; neither when all other mods are disabled or uninstalled nor when only these two mods are installed and active.
Sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native speaker.
Please, can someone help me? I would really love to use this mod ...
This mod doesn't provide you with any consumables, it just makes them infinite when they're used (drinking for potions and elixirs, as ammo for arrows, using for scrolls, and crafting with alchemy).
If you want to conjure consumables in your inventory (like I did in the screenshots), then you need to use my Conjure Consumables mod.
Oh, thank you very much for your quick and helpful answer!
I've just seen the images with all kinds of scrolls and every scroll was x20. I loved that ... because I'm actually playing with other mods ("recruit any npc - transform npc into playable character - make full custom character party - no party limit" in combination with "party limit begone". That's a lot of fun and/for experimenting. Because of that I have multiple Wizards and the scrolls (that were consumed through learning) are not enough for them XD
Anyway, it doesn't make sense for me that scrolls are consumed through learning spells in the game. If it were a real party in a real adventure, different wizards would share the scrolls and learn together XD
But I understand that the game is written for 4 party members and not for 16 members in your party XD
Thank you very much for your help and your advice!
Having all consumables neat and stacked was definitely my main motivation for my Conjure Consumables mod :) And, haha, I can imagine you go through a lot of scrolls with 16 wizards. This mod should help with that.
Thank you for the kind comment, and I hope you enjoy both mods :)
Thank you so much for all the tips. I really appreciate it. I wish I had the skills to modding.
I'll try your other mod "Conjure Consumables" and hope that it doesn't conflict with the other mods. At the moment I have 38 mods installed, 5 third party mods from NexusMods and the rest in-game mods. Some of these mods manipulate spell mechanics, for example. For example, I had two in-game mods installed for a short time, both manipulated cantrips and perhaps because of that overwrote each other. So I had to choose between these two mods. If your mod does conjure consumables, it could conflict with the in-game mod "Conjure Infinite Gold", for example ... or other spell manipulating mods. "Conjure Infinite Gold" is an additional cantrip for wizards that can be casted unlimitedly outside of combat and generates 5000 gold each time. My 16 characters all need weapons and armor and scrolls XD
And you're absolutely right, the scrolls in the game are simply not enough for several wizards. At least not if the scrolls disappear when they learn the spells.
For example, I'm really disappointed with the implementation of the 4 Elements Monk in BG3. Probably because I always have the children's series "Avatar - The Last Airbender" in my head. I'm currently trying to build a character that's as close to this series character as possible and have currently ended up with a combination of monk and wizard. Unfortunately, the monk class is very back-loaded and attribute-dependent (needs high values in 4 of 6 abilities) and the wizard class needs intelligence, so now 5 of 6 abilities. I also need a large number of spell slots for this build, which also requires a lot of wizard levels. These two classes hardly have any synergies. Without several mods, this as a solid build is simply not possible.
So in short: Thank you very much for your mods, your time and effort! I wish I could do that too... :-)
Once more: Sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native speaker but I'm trying ;-)
My Conjure Consumables mod shouldn't conflict with that other mod you're using. My mod can also conjure gold, but I did limit it to 50, 100, 250, 500, 750, or 1000 gold. Anything higher than 1000 gold causes noticeable lag in the game when I was testing it. But, yes, if you can definitely stick to the conjure gold mod you're using and use it along with my Conjure Consumables mod :)
And your English is perfectly fine, so please don't worry :) Glad you're finding mods that let you have the monk build you want, and I hope my mods ease the pain of 16 wizards learning scrolls, haha.
Could you please tell me how I can tell if the mod is working?
I downloaded the latest mod versions from this website and loaded them with the BG3 mod manager (imported the .pak files and activated the mods), in the following order: - Secret Scrolls - Secret Scrolls: Extended - Secret Scrolls: Unlocked - Conjure Consumables - Conjure Secret Scrolls - AV Shipment Framework - Volitation Cabinet (requirement for AV Shipment Framework) - Infinite Consumables.
I don't need this for 5e spells :-)
Where is this scroll that conjured the consumables?
When I start a new game there is nothing in the inventory ...
Edit:
Okay, I just read in the description of the AV ISF Mod:
"When users first load into the game with this mod installed, all available camp chests will receive the Item Shipment Framework Mailbox. This is the main location where mod authors will send items to their users, however, authors may additionally choose to place items directly into the host's inventory."
I'll see if this works when I can play again ... :-)
Please let me know if you found the conjure scrolls container in the ISF mailbox :) The container will also spawn in the tutorial chest if you have a tutorial chest summoning mod.
Thanks so much! I've just uninstalled both in-game-mods "Infinite Alchemy Components" and "Infinite Scrolls", reloaded Steam and then started a new game. Now I found the "Book of Conjure Consumables" (together with the other item from another mod "Ring of Knocking"), it was in this chest on the Nautiloid Mindflayer Ship in the room next to Shadowheart.
However: When I open the "book", all the subcategories shown in the mod images appear. But if I double-click on "Conjure Scrolls", the window closes instantly and no scrolls are placed in my inventory, nor does a new window open with the individual scrolls. If I right-click on "Conjure Scrolls", it says "Cast Spells" but even then the window closes and nothing happens and no scrolls are placed in my inventory, nor does a subwindow open with the individual scrolls.
I don't get any scrolls ... :-(
Do I have to be a wizard to cast these spells? I have just started a new game and am a level 1 wizard.
But actually I also installed Secret Scrolls: Unlocked as an additional option, because it also allows you to learn spells from other classes that would not normally be available in your own spell list.
But nothing happens with "Conjure Potions" either... as the same thing happens as described above with "Conjure Spells".
Try dragging the scrolls to an action/custom bar like shown in the screenshots and use the item from their. Also keep in mind the conjure spells are technically shout spells so they need to be confirmed after you’ve picked one (think of it like a barb shout).
Phew, I feel like the dumbest person on earth right now. Sorry, dragging the "Conjure Spells" into the "Bonus Action" bar would never have come to my mind. I had actually read the mod description and you can't see the "dragging" as a movement action in the mod images :-D I thought that if I click on "Conjure Scrolls", then either all the scrolls would be in the inventory or another sub-window would open in which I could select individual scrolls.
And unfortunately, I don't know how the "Barbarian Shout" works. I've never played a barbarian.
The other mods I'm using are obviously not as complex :-) But once you understand the mechanics, it really works perfectly.
By the way, the in-game mod "Conjure Gold" still works too... but it's actually redundant now. Except that the mechanics work differently. The mod "Conjure Gold" can only summon gold and works exactly like a cantrip, but therefore also needs a "cantrip slot" and when learning cantrips it excludes 1 other cantrip that you could normally have learned instead.
My other favorite Nexus mod - besides yours - "Recruit any NPC - Transform NPC Into Playable Character - Make Full Custom Character Party - No party limit" obviously also works untouched and all Mystra spells are still there too.
I can't see whether my third favorite mod "Party Limit Begone" still works until I've progressed further in the game and want to add the 5th companion to the party.
I've only been able to test the "Recruit any NPC" mod to a limited extent until now, but I love it. You can click on any NPC in the game using "Make Clone or Custom" (appears automatically in the "Action bar" of your character), but then you get to the character creation screen and you can completely customize everything: race, class, attributes, skills, background, gender, appearance, etc (by just skipping the "create a guardian" step). This is much better than the Withers hirelings, because at least these cannot be changed in race and background and are limited to 3 Hirelings to recruit. However, I haven't been able to test the "Recruit NPC" mod to see whether it really overwrites the party limit mod (e.g. beyond the 16 members of Party Limit Begone). The "Recruit any NPC" mod description actually says: ignores any party limit, but on the other hand with over 16 members the game would become really exhausting.
Thank you for your mods and the explanation :-) Now I won't have any problems equipping my wizards anymore... haha. It was always very frustrating to have several wizards... all extremely intelligent but without access to knowledge. Therefore they all fall far short of their potential... at least if you have several wizards and the scrolls disappear after learning them.
Regarding your difficulty in generating over 1000 gold at once: That's not a problem if you can generate 1000 gold multiple times :-)
With "Conjure Gold" as a cantrip it is a little time-consuming, but not that much. You use the spell on yourself or a party member and 5000 gold will be generated in the inventory. However, this cantrip takes a little longer than other spells in the game: When you click on the spell, it takes 5 seconds for the spell to start working and then all activities in your character bar are grayed out und are not usable during this time. Then it takes another 5 seconds for the spell to complete, after that the activity bar will become normally usable again and 5000 gold will be in the inventory now. So if you want 15000 gold, it takes 3x 10 seconds :-) But still less stressfull than stealing... haha. I just feel better not being on the criminal side.
It sounds like the conjure scrolls are working now. Good to know! :) I hope my previous comment helped even if you were unfamiliar with barbarian shouts. Also glad to know that my mods aren't conflicting with any of the ones you're currently using.
I haven't tried the recruit any NPC mod myself, but that does sound cool. I hope it works for you with the party limit begone mod.
Regarding your difficulty in generating over 1000 gold at once: That's not a problem if you can generate 1000 gold multiple times :-)
Haha, you're right! I just figured people would get tired of doing it over and over. The issue you described with the cantrip conjuring 5000 gold sounds exactly like the lag I ran into when trying to spawn more than 1000 gold. I figured it'd be frustrating for people, so I limited it to 1000 :) And I hear you, either way is better than stealing, and quicker, too!
Hope you're well and hope your game is running well with all the mods. Take care :)
I haven't tried the recruit any NPC mod myself, but that does sound cool. I hope it works for you with the party limit begone mod.
I really love this mod and don't want to be without it anymore, because it opens up really great options for the game.
The issue you described with the cantrip conjuring 5000 gold sounds exactly like the lag I ran into when trying to spawn more than 1000 gold. I figured it'd be frustrating for people, so I limited it to 1000 :)
Yes, that is certainly also a subjective feeling of the player... what someone is willing to accept. Personally, I think the 3x10 seconds is a "time loss" worth accepting. Personally, I think that 30 seconds makes no difference compared to several hundred hours of playing. It doesn't bother me either, as it doesn't affect the battle mode and therefore doesn't cause any significant potential disadvantages. I just think that if you don't want to wait those few seconds as a player, you can just use the options up to a maximum of 1000 gold and just leave the amounts above 1000 gold unused. That's why it's good to have several options to choose from. And I'm not sure what's better (if you want 15,000 gold, for example): 15x 1000 gold or 3x 5000 gold with 3x 10 seconds "time loss":-)But as I said, because of my different style of play due to the many mods, I simply need very high amounts of gold to provide my numerous party members with suitable armor, weapons, arrows and potions. I'm probably just not an average player... haha.
Take care :)
Thank you very much, I wish you the same.Unfortunately, I suffer from severe complex post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of long-term and severe abuse of various kinds from early childhood until becoming adult. Due to the severe symptoms, I have unfortunately been declared unfit for work after successfully completing two degrees (university). Unfortunately, I currently have a lot of anxiety, social phobia and fear of the future. So BG3 is a little escape from everyday life and reality for me at the moment, with a little less anxiety and stress.
Hello again :) So sorry for the late reply. Been busy and not in a fun way.
You make a good point about conjuring gold lag, and you're right, nice to have options :) If I ever get around to making the SE variant of Conjure Consumables, I think that would eliminate the lag.
I'm so sorry to hear about your situation :( I'm afraid I don't know what else to say, other than I hope things improve. Video games have been my go-to escape, so I understand what you mean. I'm glad BG3 has been of some help to you, and I hope it continues to be for a while :) It's a wonderful game and I'm looking forward to actually playing it again one day.

Here's what I did during testing:
1. Retrieved the Noblestalk from the Bibberbang Grotto.
2. Made Durge use the Noblestalk. It won't be consumed since it's infinite.
3. Told Shadowheart to eat the Noblestalk. Please note that you need to be at a certain point of her friendship to have this available.
4. Gave Derryth the Noblestalk. It will disappear from your inventory, but Derryth will be selling infinite, non-story variants in Act 3.
If you don't want to wait until Act 3 to use Noblestalk for combat, my Conjure Consumables mod can spawn it in your inventory.
Edit: Thank you! And thank you for taking the time to make this comment :)
I'm still kind of new to modding, but I keep receiving the following errors in MCM:
[Mod Configuration Menu][WARN][C]: Mod 'Infinite Secret Scrolls' requires

Please update SecretScrollsExtended.

loaded version is 2.0.0.0
Please update SecretScrollsExtended.
If I'm understanding correctly, this is a warning, but the problem is the
referenced versions that are 'required' don't seem to exist. The

can I resolve this error/warning?
Thank you again!
