For anyone who still wants to use this mod, here's the fix!
All you have to do is manually remove the "Story" folder in the pak, which is ModFixer.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do that, including how to install and use the Multitool for those who've never used it before. You can also apply this process to your other mods that haven't been updated to remove ModFixer!
So after I followed all the steps in the link above, I loaded my last save and saved again in a new slot, quit out and rebooted the game, and voila!
NOTE: just in case this happens to anyone else, my game sometimes tells me to resolve mod conflicts and shows duplicate mods that it wants me to disable. Just ignore it and proceed to your game.
Thanks so much for this info! I followed the instructions to a T, but for some reason my Multitool won't repack this mod after the Story file has been deleted :/ It just says "meta.lsx file found in PickUpEverythings\Mods\PickUpEverythings." ...and then nothing else happens. Not sure why; I've already fixed two other mods using this method without any issues.
nevermind. highlighteverything which is finicky to begin with is now lumped with overrides and I can't move it, only delete it and it's not working as intended. Your method worked wonders by the way thank you.
Ok, I did the process that was needed, I can see the spells in the game and it actually let me pick up a couple of things. That's the point, just a few. Is there something I can do to pick up everything or do I have to search the world for it to work? It's funny how some things work and others don't.
Yeah it doesn't let you grab absolutely everything, just most things. A mod that I find compliments this is Revealing Aura. It highlights objects depending on their loot and interactions and if its interactive, it means it can be picked up. With this mod, I realised I could take the bar from the waning moon and the globe surrounding orpheus
Hey uhhh so i've tried everything about re'packing the mod etc etc. The game loads up just fine but there isn't any spells in a new save. If anybody has figured out how to fix this please let me know or if anyone has adopted this mod idea
Thanks @SatanModding for the tips!! Until this mod is updated by ImWayden, here's how to fix it: 1 Download, install and lauch the BG3 Modders Multitool 2 Drop the Pickupeverything .pak file on the blue frame called "Drop mod workspace folder or à mod .pak here" 3 Let it work a few minutes 4 There's a file called smth like "Unpacked mods" where you installed the Multitool. Inside it you will find a file named "Pickup everything". Go inside and then search in the windows search bar "Recompile" 5 You should find a text file named "Recompile.txt". Rename it "ForceRecompile.txt" 6 In the Multitool, drop the file named "Pickupeverything" in which you found the text file you just renamed. The multitool will make you a brand new working .pak you can use the same way than the old one!
Sorry for my English and for the awkward explanations, I don't have my computer with me!
Thank you!! Discovering this mod late and wanted to try it. Where should I Install the multitool? The directions say not to add it to protected files so I don't know which ones are safe
This is a wonderful fix. Sadly, it won't repack the mod for me after this change. Would you be able to share the file again since the link is expired? :O <3
Hey! We finally got our multiplayer mods and all to work. And we also have the mod. Now, the new update came and the ability to pick things up no longer exists in the game? Did anyone use it in multiplayer before by chance? Or is this the new game version?
I love this mod, I spent hours upgrading my camp at the harbour. However, I can no longer go to Wyrmfels without the camp in BG being completely empty when I return. Is there any way to keep the stuff in the camp?
Okay, I've just played the quest with the iron throne. Then I went back to camp. All, but really all things are now in the camp inventory. Hours of work in the bin. I love collecting things and think the mod is really great, but it makes no sense like this.
maybe the iron throne gets treated as a different region since you board the ship and it asks if you are ready for it, which is usually a trigger for a region swap.
if you swap regions, all items get teleported to the camp chest. this is a vanilla thing. tho sometimes if you have too many items, most things just disappear and get lost forever, since the game probably cant process so many items

This mod takes an inordinate amount of time to unpack (4 min. for me) and repack (8 min.) Just give it time.
@ImWayden
I've been playing with this mod for close to a year now. Easily one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing! ✨
