If you do not see a notification on the screen that says "Autoloot mod is installed correctly!" when you load your game, then the script extender is not installed and working.
I cannot give any support for Vortex users. Sorry. Vortex is VERY unstable with BG3 and I have no way of helping.
The toggle items may be autosorted to potion bags. Check your autosort bags if they don't show up. The toggle items are also in the tutorial chest. Update to v4 if you don't receive them on Origin characters when starting a new game.
I've made an effort to exclude quest-related items for safety, but there's no easy way to catch them all. Some will be left out. There are lots of false positives too, unfortunately. If an item is not getting picked up and you're not sure why, it's probably this filter. You can reenable picking up these items (except KNOWN problem items) in the configuration.
The junk/valuables item filters are not 100% perfect. They're pretty good and about as accurate as they're going to get, though. I cannot manually sort every single item in the game.
If you're updating from v2, you need to add the stealing-enabled toggle item to your character manually. Use Tutorial Chest Summon mod or see this mod's description for how. When updating from v2, toggle item may break the first time it's attacked, so use your first configuration activation to give yourself another copy. Then it'll be fine.
The mod is now finished unless there are major bugs. The script is 658 lines. Phew!
I'm not taking or responding to any additional requests for this, sorry. I work full time. I fulfilled every request I could over hundreds of comments and also spent dozens of hours trying to fulfill requests that didn't end up being possible. Now I'm stopping because I'm burned out and it's making me cranky.
Please read the description and stickies before commenting. I won't respond if you're having a problem that could be solved by reading those. Sorry if this seems mean, but modding is not my job and I'm no longer enjoying working on this.
Not planned:
Implemented as a toggleable passive. It's harder to uninstall and I'm tired of explaining to people how to use toggleable passives.
Combat log messages for autolooting. Not currently possible. If the SE adds printing to the combat log, I'll try again then.
Marking things as empty in the GUI like normal. Not currently possible.
Stacking things properly 100% of the time. I tried a lot of different things and couldn't do it.
I can't implement every filter option possible. Sorry. You can make your own blacklists and whitelists in v4.
"Using an .ini file." Not even sure what to say about this one.
How did you get it to work for your game? Does it need to be in a specific place in the mod load order? I'd appreciate the help and any additional advice you have!
I'm just wanting some clarification here: The Unlock Locked Containers option, does that bypass lockpicking? Or will it only apply to containers you have the key for?
Problems I encountered (all with the red hand toggled on): The harpers and Yonas scene won't trigger unless I toggle the thieving hand off and load the closest save again. I snagged the lanceboard and the Mol-Raphael scene didn't trigger.
A suggestion for mod author. Problem: Auto picking up the Ceremonial Battleaxe in Rosymorn Monastery would result that the nearby Guardian of Faith would not fight you automatically. Instead, when you put the Ceremonial Battleaxe on the avatar for solving the puzzle inside the chapel, the guardian would come into battle with you. The problem you are a long way from the guardian and this this battle takes a long time for you to close the distance. Solution: Blacklist the Ceremonial Battleaxe by default, so new player do not loot it automatically.
I read throught the description and sticky post and I whole heartly thanks the modder for this mod.I has one might be problem for anyone who is reading. If I do not disable the auto loot toogle, wold this mod would loot from my camp storage during camp?
Quick question. Could you please add an Everything but valuables? The opposite of valuables only? Maybe a filter like everything but legendary/very rare/expensive?
Thank you, this one is gold.
EDIT: Ignore me, I've just seen you are done with the script :)
