the hair does some crazy things in kissing animations for me sadly! it spikes out weirdly around where the hairpiece is and on the side whenever her head tilts.
Would it be possible for this to be added as an item in the character creator? If you use a mod like Appearance Edit Enhanced to change her hair before she dyes it the mod doesn't work and if you want to change it afterwards you can never get the same hairstyle back. Totally understand if you can't or don't want to though
You should put some kind of warning that this mod contains spoilers. Shadowheart getting a new hairstyle is a spoiler and indicates she has some kind of transformation.
The game has been out for over a month now on PC, if people want to avoid a spoiler as minor as "this character gets a new haircut" then they shouldn't be on the internet.
1) A new haircut, especially a color change to white isn't a minor spoiler because it indicates the character undergoes a transformation. 2) Everyone I know who bought this game at release are still in Act 1. People play at different paces for various reasons including fitting it in with their responsibilities. 3) I personally made it to early Act 3 but my save file was corrupted, so this is very much a spoiler. 4) Not everyone progresses Shadowheart's story on their first playthrough. 5) There are multiple options on how to deal with her -- she doesn't always make it to Act 3.
wild that you're modding, and you havent even finished one time thru. i mean each to their own, but if you're modding, it's implied you already know what you want to change, and are not fazed by spoilers. just dont mod the game till you've played thru it 1st if you want to avoid spoilers lol
Yes people mod or look through mods without knowing all the story points. There are multiple ways someone wouldn't know all the story points. See numbers 4 and 5 above. Labeling your mods with spoilers and cropping photos is standard behavior on this site.
Stop browsing through nexus mods page if you haven't beaten the game at least once. Also it's not even remotely standard behavior. If you're modding the game, it's done under the assumption you've completed at least one vanilla playthrough.
"Not even remotely standard" is an assumption. I regularly get into modding before beating games. However usually I'm also hyper specific to what I look for when I do which is usually something cosmetic, or for a particular spell change in a game like this. I know plenty of people that will mod without having beaten a game. People will mod when they want to mod, regardless of beating it first or not.
Also how long its been on the internet is irrelevant. Some people may just be buying/getting the game now or a year from now. It doesnt hurt to do a title change to try and accommodate for that.
I will however agree, that cruising through mods, you need to be aware that there's a fair to high chance of getting spoiled about something since it is in fact the internet.
I also personally feel this doesnt give away much. Sure someone undergoes a transformation, but you dont know what kind, or how it happens, or what it means. Maybe everyone could have a haircut/style in endgame. *shrug*
I don't know if you've already changed the title or not, but if im not mistaken her original hair also has a shar headpiece. Soooooo, as far as anyone on the internet should know, it could be for base hair or other modded hairs that the pic could be based off of.
I also want to say thanks, because I may very well download this :)
Yes this is a minor spoiler but youre making a numbered list of why you are upset about a hair mod. Youre at a ten and shouldn't be outraged at all. This is the epitome of "touch grass." I get it but like, take a break from the internet.
Orion on a high horse, guy is simply holding a good argument, and it takes less then 5 minutes to do so, but you pretend he's a hermit for articulating such, lol horse has high heels.
molbio2, I didn't know why she got a new hairstyle in act 3. For some reason I didn't think it was anything important or something that had to be part of the game. I haven't gotten there yet, but this: " indicates she has some kind of transformation" kinda ruined it for me. She has to have something going on? Or we can't control it? I thought the companions didn't have any real changes if we didn't interact with them.
I like the band, though. I wish it was for her permanent look.
Wild that you think most people beat it in a month. I wasn't able to buy it til April of 24 and didn't beat it til August because I wanted to take my time. And acting like the haircut was meaningless is disingenuous at best. Yes, people bear some responsibility for coming across spoilers while downloading mods, but it costs you nothing to minimize spoilers as well.
Quick question, does this mod alter the headpiece even if she takes the Sharran path (style changes, but hair stays black)? Cuz her keeping the headpiece in that world state makes sense.
If the game uses the same file for both looks it would probably change too, I'm just curious to know if I'll need to remove this mod on a playthrough where she stays faithful.

I am wondering this too! I love the mod but I want to keep her Shar headpiece if she stays Sharran.
Thanks so much for this mod, it makes a big difference to my immersion 😊🙏 just wondering if there's any chance you could make another file where the new headpiece is gold instead of silver? Just so it matches my Selunite Shadowheart look, which has gold metals 😅
