could we get different colours for the dragon form it would be cool to have matching colour forms for those that use the dragon ranger sub class to make it look like a parent dragon with its child are traveling around.
I'm an author, who makes a Half-Dragon race, that has essentially 'wildshape' to Dragon form as one of its' perks - you can make the Dragon walk, if you have Patch 8 animation files. For some reason, that I cannot understand, they canned some of their animations in Patch 9 of EA and in full release. Once my mod is out, you can look through my files and nab them for your summon, if you want. :)

I've got a functional Dragon form Polymorph with my race mod since EA, I've only been reworking my mod for full release and subsequently for public release, deciding to make a unique bodyshape for female characters, which is why the mod has not been out yet - since unique bodyshape means redoing clothes/armor models to fit it and there are a lot of those.
The gist of it is, your Dragon form will have three 'levels', 'growing' as you level up. Starting up with a tiny and relatively 'weak' Dragon form, to ultimate, big one at max lvl.
There's more to my mod, that could be said, but I mainly want to get it out, for people to enjoy asap, than discuss it. Just wanted to say that walking (well, more flying) animation is possible, and I'll be happy to see other people's Dragon-centric mods working.
Ah, the flying animation. Yes, I believe LostSoulMan posted something on their Youtube a long time ago, something along the lines of a small dragon summon? That was the only time I've really seen a dragon move in BG3 outside of cinematics.
Your mod sounds awesome. Will definitely try it when it comes out.
This is the EA version showcase - it's reworked to be better, in terms of abilities and coolness, but at least you get the gist of the idea for movement. And yeah, I shared my method with lostsoulsman, as we both griped about the fact they canned that particular animation in Patch 9 of EA.
why in the world did they do that? Utterly dumb move to remove the animations. Glad someone was able to recover them. Sadly I was late to the game and bought it during patch 9
apparently there was supposed to be a dragon fight in act 2 where orin takes control of a red dragon but it was cut from the final game. so it's possible they cut everything with it
Amazing mod, thank you for releasing it! I have no idea how hard something like this would be, but could you consider making a dragonborn subclass with all the abilities including polymorph into the true dragon form, it would be very much appreciated.
There are a few female dragonborns in game, just none of them red.
There's also a metallic shopkeeper at the blacksmith in the Gate, and a black dragonborn near Sharess' Caress, to name a few.
If you don't mind the scale colour difference, I can probably look into getting a different version for you. No promises on the ETA at the moment though, working on a few other things.
Unpack the mod, it's defined by data "Vitality" "400"in RedDragonSummon\Public\RedDragonSummon\Stats\Generated\Data\Character.txt. Change it, then pack it back together again.
