    No one wants a reduced form of the ability in a game. That is just how it is. Modify it to do something different, sure. Reducing it will never be the answer.

      Speak for yourself. Although gamers accustomed to being overpowered tend to dislike nerfs, the shove changes achieve a good balance between silly fun gameplay and maintaining immersion. I am less enthused about the hand-crossbow buff as it's already overpowered - but will give this one a go.

      I disagree. I'm tempted to download because OP's curve is actually logical. Having a Str based character in your party should make them feel like they're really strong. Being able to mimic your brawler/tank shove strength with just a few points into Str takes away from their shine. This Mod rewards your Str based characters.

      Why are there so many assholes when it comes to BG3 mods? If you disagree with a mod, then move on. Why do you feel so obligated, and entitled, to chit on someone else work?

      Tbh, I saw the mod and went "Huh, interesting but I don't want to nerf my game for the sake of realism" and that was all. 

      Like I don't think I'd use this mod but at the same time your words are completely f*#@ing unnecessary and honestly annoying that I think I WILL use this mod, if not just to spite your venomous ass.

      -- and to add I DO care about the str curve and math that goes into mods like this (As well as a lot of the other rebalance mods/damage overhaul mods). Like someone likes the game so much and thinks about it critically enough that they  do f*#@ing MATH to make a mod for said game... That's pretty cool. 

      all that in saying, f*#@ off with your vitriol.

      Apparently you haven't built a character that can chuck other medium sized creatures around, mixed with Tavern Brawler makes it do decent damage too. The build requires 20+ strength to even become possible.

      bg3 drew in a hyper casual audience so many of them struggle on the easiest difficulty so for them the concept of anything being harder is terrifying to them. They want to just play the game as an "I win" button

      Absolutely not true. As a 5e D&D player used to shove capping at 5 feet regardless of strength, and longbows having a range of hundreds of feet while throwing weapons cap at 30 feet, I absolutely want the nerf. The vanilla BG3 range rules are broken and turn fights into boring platforming shove matches. If I wanted that I'd play Mario.

    is this compatable with arsenal overhaul mod? would love to use but that mod changes alot of the useless weapon types into interesting variety and would love to use that together with this, to have some variety in ranged attacks, instead of all being similar

    This looks great, any possibility that catching a target flat footed (outside of combat) would give a bonus to push distance? Easier to push someone a greater distance if they don't know they're about to get shoved.

    Can jumping and movement speed be reduced as well? 30 ft of movement when you can only do 1 action a turn, well having 30ft of movement seems extremely excessive. If I get 1 action then I should be able to maybe at most have 15ft of movement.

    Judging from the introduction, this MOD weakens all throwing and projectile weapons. Who wants to be weakened? Most people should have installed monster-enhancing MODs. They have tried their best to choose between damage and balance. This MOD also shortens the range, which requires the characters to move farther to do what they should do. This is already related to balance. It doesn't matter, it's already a problem.
    It is recommended that you strengthen the MOD while weakening it, so as not to make the MOD appear undesirable and make people not want to use it.

      Go doing your own thing, let people have their own. This mod may be not for you, but you are not everyone, you don't know what other people will prefer.

      Yeah true, who wants to be weakened. We all want to feel super strong all the time #MMOfantasy. Lets drop all difficulty modifiers and just make all enemies have 1 hp so I can feel like a god 24/7 ! 

      But in reality, people like challenging and fun gameplay and this adds another aspect to that. Why do you think mods like tactician plus exist that can bring enemies hp to 300% ? It's because some people like the added challenge. Just because you aren't in the boat of wanting the game to have some challenge and more realism to it doesn't mean that everyone feels the same way. 

      I'm not even downloading this mod to use but the way some of you guys come off in comment sections is pretty stupid and makes you look like an ass. If you don't like the mod then move the f*** on with your life. No need to comment.

      The most popular difficulty altering mod on the site is Tactician Plus, so going by that you are in the minority by not wanting things to be harder.

    Excellent mod.

    But I wouldn't buff hand crossbow range personally. I think it should be nerfed down to 10-12m, because it's already stronger than the competition. Having much less range is a fair tradeoff. Mainly to reduce the effectiveness of kiting/hit 'n run strategies, by incentivizing the use of bonus action to shove or cunning dash, instead of attacking with the offhand.

    Damn, that 0.5 increase from 14 to 16 is bugging me out, can't you do a proper "1m times modifier (min 1)" formula? That way you also boost giant strength in the process which are feeling left out if you cap at normal maximum ;D

    Does this alter weapons directly, or only the weapon type?
     
    Do the changes to shove alter whether it is an action or bonus action if we have it modded to be an action?
