This is definitely a cool idea. However; would it be possible to have an alternate file that, just allows you to use WIS+CON out the gate, rather than requiring both Unarmoured Defense features? Maybe make it depend on which stat is higher? (I think I managed to cobble this into reality on my end but it would still be cool as an option as standard)
For those that want the unarmored defences to work together like 10 + dexterity + constitution + wisdom you can simply change the files on this mod yourself, unpack the mod using BG3 Modders Multitool then edit UnarmoredDefenceSynergy.txt and then add Dexterity to the last part of the bottom line like this: ACOverrideFormula(10,true,Dexterity,Constitution,Wisdom)
Hi, this mod does exactly what it says it does. Sorry for all the complaints from folks who misunderstand the purpose.
From what I can tell, neither this nor the Mage Armor fix allow Draconic sorcerers to use their 13 AC along with any of the bonuses.
This could be a 'mistranslation', but the way the rules are written it seems like this should be compatible with just about any bonus considering the description says it gives "your base Armour Class is 13." The game clearly does calculate it as an "unarmored +3," though. (The barb and monk features "add your [x] to your armour class.")
I would like it if you had a mod that simply put the Dragon Sorc's bonus into its own category (or had it actually adjust your 'base armour class') so that it didn't fight with any of these bonuses. A compromise that seems to line up with your philosophy would be letting Dragon Sorcs use their +3 in place of <dex> when calculating their unarmored AC.
The build I thought of today was a Sorcerer that casts twinned Haste on themselves and another ally, casts another spell that doesn't require concentration and doesn't care about saving throws, then uses their bonus action to rage on the first turn of combat. Then you've got a hasted barbarian with good constitution for concentration checks, and you've supported a pal with Haste!
Edit: You can't concentrate on spells while raging, I overlooked that. RIP
The mod certainly works as it should on Patch 6 "Hotfix" 18.
I cannot reiterate how elegant and simple this mod is for what it does, and unless Larian changes something fundamental or for some reason changes the names of passives internally, it should never be able to break.
I love this. Simple, thematic, fitting, non-cheaty. 100% something that should already have been in the game, which is something that to me exemplifies a good mod.
Edit: I opened it up and took a look at it and it's more beautiful than I could have imagined. It only alters a single line, by using a call to the same thing it's replacing. I didn't even know it was possible to do that. And by doing it like that, it should also be exceptionally future-proof and mod-compatible.
I'm not even playing with monks or barbarians (yet), and I still got it and stuck it at the bottom of my load-order because I know it should be pretty much incapable of f*#@ing things up, while adding something that should intuitively "just work".
I'm looking at the source code from the Gustav and Shared paks, but I'm only able to find the "UnarmouredDefence_Barbarian" entry. Is there no "UnarmoredDefense_Monk" in the vanilla game files?
Which part of the code gives a monk the vanilla Dex + Wisdom AC?
Hope you enjoy some irony them xD An optional file would be amazing! P.S.: I'll really never undertand people complaining about balance. First of all, it allows me to play however I want! Not everyone is min/maxer. Secondly, if one thinks it'll be game breaking, just don't use it It's so simple.

Your mod https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2398?tab=files doesn't work at 3 ACT. Please fix it.

Does that mean that if my DEX > CON, and I am without a shield, then your mod fall back on DEX+WIS?
Thanks
Thanks

Do you have any intentionsto make the DEX+CON+WIS option? Would love it!
I suppose it'll be ironic enough to actually do it.
