I cant find the ring, possibly I have sold it before finding it. But damon doesnt sell it. Withers does not sell anything in my version of the game, i downloaded a special trade with withers mod but no ring. Damon does sell other crafting supplies.
All other mods with it are functioning properly. I was going to do tests in singleplayer to see if its a multiplayer issue but I forgot, I'll let you know if it works in singleplayer.
For those wondering, I believe that the Everburn Blade and Sword of Tyre Blade are the only ones that can have their special properties made into an oil. I tried to test many others, and nothing else I tried worked.
Okay dude, I've been playing with this for some time now, and I have to say. This is by far, the best crafting mod out there so far.
Like hands down.
Seriously, it's great.
I do have some things to say though:
1. When playing split screen, the second player cannot craft. So far we've just passed the player controlling player 1 back and forth for our morning crafting, but yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a bug. You also can't drop or transfer crafting items (tongs, hammer, etc) once they're in your inventory. Not usually an issue, but they do have weight so it can become one.
2. A lot of tool proficiencies require multiple areas of expertise to mesh together. For instance, crafted arrows from wood working, into alchemy for special arrows. This isn't inherently a bad thing at all, but it would be cool if you could find/buy a book that would teach you a tool proficiency (preferably for a high price- like 500~1000 gold). So like you start with woodworking, but eventually you decide to train into alchemy to capitalize on it. Would be neat.
3. An optional file for... everyone to get a tool proficiency at level 1, not just custom backgrounds would be cool. I like collecting inspiration points from roleplaying, and having a set in stone background, but would prefer having a tool proficiency. Btw, I know there's a ring that lets you use all of them, but it's more flavorful, immersive and imo cool to have a proficiency of your own.
4. Item crafting/enchanting is perfect- but a bit more progression would be nice. First, it would be cool to be able to enchant your shield, and it would be cool to add another +1 enchantment bonus. This would allow you to take a +1 weapon and take it all the way to +3 (making it more feasible deep into the game for someone running an old favorite, and giving someone seeking some extra progression on their big build a way to as well).
Using the framework you're already using (just an idea, not to be demanding or ungrateful), recipes for these could be:
Elixir of Bloodlust + Hammer = Oil of Extra enchantment (same as enchantment, a +1 bonus, but as a separate bonus. Much like how you already have the +1 bonus of enchantment separate from the mainline enchantment bonus, which would allow them to stack)
Elixir of Cloud Giant Strength + Hammer = Oil of Extra protection
Elixir of Barkskin + Hammer = Oil of Shielding (same as Protection, but it targets an equipped shield) Elixir of Heroism + Hammer = Oil of Extra shielding
It'd also be cool to get some special enchantments like Everburning, but I understand those must be more of a headache, getting disenchant mechanics with all the mods and the like. I'd much rather have something like the things above.
5. Finally, I know it's been said before, but like... almost everyone plays with a level 20 the 5e spells expansion mod, and you're literally the only one with a functioning scroll crafting mechanic- You'd be doing the community a huge service if you could expand it based on that mod.
6. Unimportant, but it'd be cool to be able to name your custom background.
7. Not a request, just want to gush about how f*#@ing cool this mod actually is. It took me a second to get the hang of it, but it works, and it's wildly compatible with other mods. All in all, fantastic and way ahead of any of the others. Endorsed.
Thank you for your ideas and comments! Fantastic and appreciated.
I've tried to do some stuff with the patch 7 toolkit atm before September arrives. I'll see what time I have to add stuff to this mod, maybe start with 5e spells scrolls
OK, all of 5e spells so scrolls can be crafted...that will need to be put in the "consider after other stuff" pile unfortunately. But i wont say never!
I honestly can't remember how many I had before the rest but after the rest I had 0. So I either started with 0 or something in the mod wiped them clean maybe?
Having an issue adding crafting on level up Arcana Proficiency is no longer appearing as a feat... JIC i reinstalled the script extender and tried putting the mod at both the front and back of the load order... Can't seem to get it to appear... Suspect update has borked it somehow... Any advice/suggestions? Could be another mod interfering i guess.
Sorry, my mistake. I had it in my head crafting was a feat added to a character rather than a background. Is it possible to add it as something that can be taken later for scrollcrafting etc? (i wanted to be able to use gale to make scrolls)
Having an issue with the Water barrels showing up as "not found" (they are there physically and can be picked up etc but they are named "not found" and don't work for crafting) and also the Cloak of elvenkind plus some other crafting items (boots) and the wand of magic missile don't seem to be working properly in latest patch (was working up until that point) now it looks like certain enchantments are missing. I've checked the script extender is installed. Is anyone else having this issue? Could it be something to do with mod order?
The MM wand is created when you craft it but the spells show as not found and there isn't any information when hovered over. When bound to the character doesn't show up as a spell or show as a number of charges. It does let you fire a single magic missile for about 1d6 or so ish damage (not sure as it won't display the particulars) and seems to have unlimited charges. I'm guessing a broken script somewhere?

Did you try Auntie Ethel or other traders? Do they sell the new items?
I don't remember adding warlock scrolls into the game, scrolls are more of a wizard thing.
Unless larian had made some?
Sorry i missed your comment.
I just did a test and the crafting rings works perfectly.
Do you have script extender correctly installed?
Try
V1.06 Fix: change how summon crafting toolkits work (direct to caster not Host())
Last page of the ingame manual, ive only listed those two weapons.
Like hands down.

Not sure what 5e spell support means for this mod?

I and likely many others would love this too.
Did you already have four inspiration points?
After work I'll have a test
Haven't tested it yet
Well ive spent a few hours trying to fix, but no luck
Very annoying i know.
Apologies
Ill try again later
Finally worked out to fix. Done!
V1.02 Fix: Custom Background get 4 inspiration points per long rest
Arcana Proficiency is a feat?
I didn't add that feat, I'm not sure what you are referring to?
Do you mean background? That's chosen in character creation.
See if withers sells it
Equip the crafting ring
Then summon the tongs
That's no good
With the MM wand please explain what doesn't work.
Sorry
Sounds like something broke with a patch, I'll have to check after work
Thanks for the feedback
V1.05 Fix: elven books, cloak, wand of magic missiles, name of water barrel.
I tested alchemist kit + water barrel + magic crafting resource and got the magic water barrel, so that seems to be working.
