Will you try to get this on console the Pure White color is one I wanted to use when the game came out to make my Snow Tiefling but couldn't wanted to know
this is an amazing mod. prob my fav mod for this game.
i bet someone one day is going to redo alot of the NPCs of the game and give them more realistic skin/scale colors like giving the halflings ruddier skin, making the Drow jet-black rather than a dusky or pale gray, making the scales of the Dragonborn more natural etc
I love this mod. I can finally make the Duergar and drow I want to make. Two questions
1. Will/can this be made available on mod io? It's simple enough for me to install but I hope to use it with my friends in multiplayer and I know I'm not alone in that. 2. Is there a way to get Minthara or other npcs (like drow) to incorporate this to change of color? 3. Thank you for sharing
1. No doubt in my mind that it can be added to mod.io, but right now I'm on a break from BG3, and it'll be a while until I pick it up again. If anyone wants to upload it in my stead, that's fine by me. It should work without mod.io for multiplayer, if your friends also install it like you, but multiplayer and third party mods can be a hassle to make work in general, so I understand any aversion to that.
2. I only know how it's done without the official modding tools, but I think with the new tools it should be a lot easier to do, though you still probably need to do it individually for each. If you have time, I would suggest looking for a tutorial that describes how you change NPCs appearances with modded content in the official modding tool.
Is there any chance you'll consider making a slightly less intense version of the marble white skin color? Sort of like Kratos' skin tone? The marble white one is a bit too much for what I'm aiming for.
Maybe sometime in the future, but not right now, sorry. But in the case of what you are asking, maybe the following mod would work for that: SK's More CC Colours - WIP
Unfortunately, the bluish tint to the veins and everything in the mod you linked doesn't quite work with what I had in mind, but thank you anyway for the suggestion.
the marble white is chefs kiss. crazy how modern western video games don't make pale ass skin like this. I was wanting and albino character but is it possible you can make a version with darkness in the nostrils and pink to the nips and privates? so the skin looks like real albinism. thanks!
I know this is very delayed, but I can probably explain why. I don't create mods, so I don't know the explicit coding they've used, but I do draw and do art. They're all linked likely because of something called "Subsurface Scattering." It has a larger meaning, but in this context it's basically.... skin is actually transparent. Certain areas of the body have thinner skin -- around the eyes, the lips, the chin, nostrils, fingers and other joints, and inner ears, to name the ones that come up most often (at least when I'm doing art) and because the skin is thinner there, you see more of the blood vessels, making it red/pink. This is why your fingers go red if you hold them up to a flash light. Adding the pink tone actually adds more depth to the skin and makes it more lifelike.
So yes, that is most likely the reason why altering one section alters the rest. Because they've probably done a skin map or something that links them all, so they don't have to go in and manually alter each place where the pink tones show up.
[ side tangent: I understand not adding it to the main mod, but would it be possible to have the pink toned white as an optional file? I downloaded this mod because I wanted to have super pale skinned characters, but in my personal opinion I'm not a big fan of the flat white without any subsurface scattering. If it's too much of an inconvenience, don't worry about it! I just think it'd be nice as an option ]
Sorry to ask here, but I've installed this with Vortex, along with the Mod Fixer and LSLib/Divine Tool, but I can't start BG3 anymore. The error message is: Failed to load the main menu from the current game mod . The main menu in that mod requires the level . Make sure to clear any local mods and try again.
Sorry if that's a stupid question, but is it possible to play with my friends coop LAN with a character created with this mod? Does it really "add" colours or "unlock" them, because the latter should be fine, right? I just want to play my Immortal cosplay in this game :(
I don't have any experience with mods and multiplayer so far, but from my understanding, it should work, but if you want your friend to see the same skin color on your character they also need to have the mod installed.
