If you encounter any mods with races that don't quite get the skill proficencies the right way, Please let me know by adding a new comment so that i can look into it and work towards a solution. Thanks!
I noticed this mod doesn't work with Plus UI at the moment, so that may be the issue for you. I won't be able to fix this problem without Raizen incorporating the fix in his mod. My apologies for not putting the information out sooner. I recommend not using Plus UI when playing on a game version after patch 5.
Is this mod (really) compatible with patch 7, and if not; will it ever be? It worked fine on patch 6, but now in patch 7 I am unable to change domain and background for Shadowheart.
I've been having the crash on respec bug and I'm unable to fix it.
So, I installed this mod with a new save (around patch 2?) but I'm silly and removed it midway without realising. Since then, for the rest of my playthrough, the game immediately crashes to desktop when I hit the respec option (confirming via Withers or using the respec spell mod) with most characters (Except Gale and Wyll). Now, with patch 7, I tried reinstalling and moving it in various positions in my load order, but the crash still persists.
I have around 60 hours of progress since the last save from before I removed the mod, I wouldn't want to start over.
Is there any way to fix this with the game's code files perhaps? What exactly is the mod editing that stays permanent on a save file?
unfortunately this breaks all the companions' default Class Skill selections. for some reason this uses their Granted from Class points to select what should have been their default background skills. so for Shadowheart, e.g., her default Granted from Class skills will be now be Religion and Insight (which are supposed to be from her Acolyte background), and then this mod just attributes her two new Background choices (which display as Granted from Race) to Survival and Persuasion for some reason. this is on a new save.
so to clarify, Shadowheart's defaults should be 2 Granted from Class = History and Medicine / 2 Granted from Background = Religion and Insight but what she gets is -------------------------------------> 2 Granted from Class = Religion and Insight / 2 Granted from Background = Survival and Persuasion
I suppose you could still use it but you'd have to respec everyone in your party if you want their defaults, which you'd have to look up in the character creation screen
Humans seem to only get 1 skill from human versatility, and none from background. Using main mod, not optional, on a new game. Gale has only 3 skill proficiencies and only gets 1 racial skill on respec. New human PCs also only get 1 racial skill.
The (sort of) solution I found was to change your race and then change back to human. It does force you to take Persuasion as your racial skill but you get to choose your two background skills.
The numbers on the left column display 0/3 & 1/3 when I select a proficiency under my race (I'm starting a new game as a custom Tav Variant Human.) However, when I try to select my next proficiency, the first prof is removed in favor of the one I just picked; meaning I can't choose my background proficiencies.
Hi, I accidentally installed the mod in the wrong save file in the middle of a playthrough instead of a new one, and now when I try to respec any Half-Elf or Githyanki character via Withers or other way, the game instantly crashes right after the dialogue. I suspect it has something to do with the extra skills Half-Elves get, at least for that race. It works fine for the other races.
it seems like theres a bug on the skill selection, where if you sellect everything even though it exeed the max and its not increase the point of skill but if you uncheck it the max will not increase but the point you have did, and if you check the skill again after that it will increase the point of the skill

Thanks for the update. Small problem. I cannot change Lae'zel 'background'-skills (respec does not work). It says "granted from race".

How do I fix this?
It works fine for the other races.
Removing the mod doesn't fix this sadly.
Any solutions I could try?
